Finding My Niche! Posted 3/31/2008 2:30:25 PM The reunion was a complete success! It was totally glam and fab and almost everybody showed up. There was zero snarkiness and plenty of boozing, dancing, and reminiscing: what every reunion should be like. This guy, Todd Roberts, who used to be the captain of the water polo team showed up and we danced. I had the biggest crush on him throughout high school but was too timid to say anything. Well, since I was the organizer I had to say something to him. Let's just say he liked what I had to say. Hehe. We're going out next week! But that wasn't even the high point. Susan and I got a standing ovation for all our hard work, and we might parley our efforts into a little business venture. It could have just been drunken chatter, but Susan and I talked about making this a business. Who knows? We seem to have some serious people search skills. Of course, we wouldn't just organize reunions...we could run a background check on someone. Or we could just do good old fashioned person search. The possibilities are endless, really. Okay, gotta go. I'm gonna read up on Phentra, this new diet supplement that can help me trim up a bit in time for my date with Todd. (0) Comments

Girls Night Out! Posted 2/15/2008 5:04:16 PM So Susan and I had such a fun night last night! We had our own girl's night out for V-Day and it was more than I have ever had with any guy! We got an expensive dinner with dessert and then went out for dancing and drinks. Susan even met a guy! I didn't get home until 2:30 and now I am regretting it! I am so tired today at work. It's ok though, it was well worth it. But this weekend is going to be so busy, we have so much planning to do for the reunion because it is now only a month away. Susan is all over the people search and I am all over the venue and decorations. I am so glad she is good at people search, or I would be dead in the water already! New Year, New Friends! Posted 1/16/2008 1:30:10 PM Happy New Year everyone! I am so excited for this reunion! It's finally coming up. It is going to be in March, so it's almost crunch time!! The best part of this whole planning experience has definitely been my burgeoning friendship with Susan, who is awesome. We have really become close these past few months. She amazes me that she can remain so upbeat and optimistic in such a time of tragedy and strain. She really is an inspiration. Not only that, but she has done an amazing job with this reunion. Her persistence has gotten us a much better venue and prices on all the decorations and catering. She is so resourceful. We've been having to do a lot of person search to find some of the random people who have disappeared over the years. Person search can be tedious and frustrating at times, but Susan makes it so much better. It's always better to do things in pairs anyways. We've even been trying to find classmates on Facebook, which has a great feature called Friend Finder. It's so useful, but they sure have the strangest Facebook applications on there! I keep being invited into virtual pirate wars, and it's just confusing me. Anyways, I gotta get back to work. Be back soon! (0) Comments

Background Checks are Important Posted 12/27/2007 12:42:42 PM So the woman, Susan, who has been bugging me about the high school reunion must have felt my frustration because she decided to ask me out for lunch to "talk things over." Turns out her mom has cancer and she's been throwing herself into this reunion thing to help distract herself. Her mom has a hospice care worker, and the woman had this feeling that this person wasn't really helping her mom. So I used this background check site to look that person up, and turns out he used to work in another state where he served time for abusing patients at an old folk's home! She used that information to get the hospice center to fire him, and found someone else to help take care of her mom (who we also looked up, just in case). Since then, she's been a lot easier to deal with. She even sent me this cool article on Attendi -- it sounded really cool and we're both hoping to get everyone from the reunion into it too. Anyway, hope everyone's people searching is going well! I've got another "lunch" with Susan to get to--I'm actually starting to enjoy them. (0) Comments

The girl, well I suppose she's a woman now, who is supervising is insane. She is weird and anal and all around freakish. I wish she didn't have my cell phone number because she calls it constantly. I can't even enjoy my dinner without her bothering me. I always tell her the same thing! Sheesh. Searchin' even more in October Posted 10/3/2007 11:30:53 AM Hello all, yes, I'm back with your people search updates for October. Seems some of my high school buddies have found out about my passion for people search and elected me our 10th annual high school reunion organizer. I helped my sister out with hers, so I'm hoping that experience will be beneficial, it's a daunting task to say the least. September and I'm Still Searchin' Posted 9/5/2007 6:26:55 PM Seriously! I'm still people searching. I thought that it was going to be some random phase, but no. This is a legitimate hobby now. Is there is some kind of rehab for this kind of thing? If there is, I need one badly. It seems like every time I sit down at the computer, I end up people searching. I don't know what to do. It's bad. But, you guys should benefit from this sick obsession. I found a cool blog someone else is keeping, and they too are pretty into finding people online, so check that one out. I also came across this website that has a bunch of really funny lists, and my favorite was the List of the Best Mitch Hedberg Quotes . I love that guy, and I am glad someone else out there does too. Finding People in August! Posted 8/6/2007 2:39:02 PM Hello! I'm back, and it's already August. Phew! Where has the time gone? I feel like the summer just started, but before you know it, we'll be in fall again. Maybe the time has gone so fast for me is because I have spent a lot of time on the Internet people searching. Finding people online is an addictive hobby, and I am a total convert. My sister is actually the one to blame for my shameless behavior; she's the one who got me into people searching. She started by looking up some old high school friends for her reunion. Then I got hooked on it, and the rest is history. I found a couple good sites that I want to share with you guys.
