Forbidden City: The Guide

I love Forbidden City for its outer beauty and inner great culture. There are many visitors all around the world. Most of them go to Forbidden City with a travel agency. Forbiden City is a big place which has a massinessy history background. Even a small piece of rock has its story. I think the guides have a responsibility to introduce some history and background knowledges. But to my surprise, a guide told me that she always avoid going to the palaces which have many tales to explain. She is the guide of a big Euro touring party. I was disappointed for her words. Frankly, it's tired to manage such a big touring party for a weedy woman like her. But i still feel out of sorts. Conducting is her job, she should try her best!!! The most important thing is that many visitors are made to lost their opportunities to know more about the inside spirit of Forbidden City and Chinese Culture. What should I say! I'm doing a investigation of passenger flow volume for Forbidden City these days, just a volunteer. After my worktime, I initiative to be a "free guide" for whom needs my help. I really hope that more people can sense the beauty of Forbidden City. It's easy for me to conduct a tour to Chinese people and not hard to conduct to English-Speaking people. I'm also glad to do that. But there was a foreigner who thought i was a swindler today, it made me embarrassed and sad. Maybe just a chinese who know our culture well can understand my love to Forbidden City and especially my love to this old-line civilized country----China. (1) Comments

love and give up

English

Why do Chinese have to learn English in class? That's unfair! It is easy to catch the surface layer of English. Maybe that's why it become "world language". But Chinese has thousands years history, it makes our Chinese own a strong sence of mother language! so,it's really hard for me to study another language. I love Chinese, but i have to learn and practice English every day, just like what i'm doing, to insure i would pass all kinds of tests! Hoping one day, Chinese could be another "world language". Then, i would break away from English study without a worry of communicating problems with people from English-Speaking countries. (2) Comments

world cup

世界杯！ 真是矛盾，喜欢一些球队的球员，但是那些球队偏偏又决赛无望。比如Figo，太强了。还有Raul等等。我不觉得Rooney有多厉害，可是英国人就是喜欢他，莫名其妙。 最有情结的球员还是Owen，2002年从余童那第一次知道了这个人。先入为主，我一直喜欢他。谁知道这次世界杯他却栽了，身体毛病太多。唉，看见他倒地的刹那，心痛啊…… 球员好没有用，整体配合才重要。我比较推崇阿根廷。不是因为6比0那场比赛，他们的实力本就很强。至于巴西，我不觉得能再次夺冠。而德国，要想进四强，他们得用点手腕把自己和阿根廷岔开才行。 该死的时差，最精彩的比赛往往在凌晨，可是又不能睡那么晚，看不上了，倒霉。 (0) Comments
