GOD. college. life. today. this summer. new people. great friends. GOD.
i am so bored; i am tired with the mundane, where i always know what is going on. i feel as though i am standing on the edge of a grand canyon of life. but, O! the riches and wonders of God. on this edge the only thing that i can think of doing is seeking God's face, more of Him in all my goings. something, everything, this large can only be pursued in, to, for, through, by, with, because, to the glory of God in the name of Christ Jesus.
i'm bored with my ego, with my wanting to do things through my shortcomings. i keep thinking i can do it better next time on my own, but after each time i try to do everything on my own, keeping all the rules, working my head off to please God and this world. guess what? it didn't and never workds. i fail each tme; i am worse off than before.
my ego is no longer central, my name ends. who seriously cares in light of eternity about doug petton. do i?
confusion causes struggle which leads to patience. patience in waiting on God in this mire will lead to perseverance, and He who began a good work in you will see in to fruition in Christ Jesus.
yesterday is gone. tomorrow can worry about itself. here. now. this is where i am.

then stop whining about your clothes, for they are merely rags. stand up, firm in your love for the Savior. let your song ring out through the nations, through your campus, through your dorm, through your life. let your life be a love song for the Uncreated One, the GOD-of-Angel-Armies, the LORD. sing loudly and unashamedly, for God is life. enjoy this day, for tomorrow is not guaranteed and today is a glorious day to be alive.
no longer shall you stroll in Sin Saloon, or be familiar with Heartbreak Hotel; for God has planted you by His stream of life that you grow deep and high, long and wide in the love of Christ. God turns your Valleys of Achor into Acres of Hope.
your life should be the least of your concerns. other's lack of life in Christ should be a top to do list. since when did your life have to be perfect for God to use you? God secures your steps as He heals your heart.
be glad that you are here and healthy.

As a person, I share the same feeling
that I want something that matters. I mean who wants something that fades away physically, emotionally, spiritually.
Is there anything that is more than this world, a morning mist, a flower of the field, a sunset?
