Best Friends Forever

In grade 8 I met somebody who would be there for me throughout my life. That person is now my best friend. Her name is Erica Cako.
To think back to grade 8 was a longggg time ago. We were still kids then, and I was only 13. The second year of high school definatly isn't the easiest year to get through. People are trying to find themselves, people change, and everyone's just trying to find the right crowd that they fit in to.
Most of the time, it takes a while to do that.. so people find "friends" that they spend their time with and then quickly move on to find others.
Sometimes though, you can find that one person that'll stay your friend forever.
That's what I did..
I met my best friend in grade 8. I was young, dumb, & stupid, and didn't know anything about how life worked. Erica sat behind me in my english class and I would always turn around and ask her if I could borrow a paper or a pen since I never went to class prepared. I was actually more interested in fooling around then doing the work.
I don't remember exactly how it happened.. but me and Erica ended up becoming friends. We sat together at lunch, went to Tim hortons in the morning, went to the mall on weekends, slept at eachother's houses, and did lots of other stuff friends would do.
As time passed, I "outgrew" many of my other friends.. although Erica never ceased to bore me. Everywhere we went we would make some kind of funny memory that'll be forever in my mind.
Now.. we're unseperatable. We do almost everything together. This is 5 years later. We've both changed, we've both matured, we both have different aspects and views on life, but yet we've never been closer. Most of my other "friends" have went their own ways.. but me and Erica are still together.
Now.. I don't know what i'd do without her. She's the person that I turn to when i'm in need of advice, reassurance, comfort, someone to go somewhere with, or anything else like that.
Now I know that alot more time will pass, we'll go our seperate ways, and we'll still change alot.. but I can truthfully say that me and Erica will stay best friends forever.
* Erica, thank you for always being there for me. You've changed my life in so many ways.. and we'll always be friends, forever. *
