Tim said we would have 40 minutes to spare untill classes change when we get back. I said, "Hey Tim, we can show episodes of Hogan's Heroes to lighten the mood!" He responded in his Bob Crane voice, "Hey Colonel we've got enough ovens to start a pizza parlor!" My Ronald Reagan mask came in teh mail today in time for Halloween. Last night Posted 12/10/2008 1:29:51 PM Last night was a successful Winternights Feast. Susan and Becca did an excellent job with the cooking. I was very satisfied with the blot. The joy of the night was to give Becca's daughter Celeste her first Thor's hammer w/o her hair catching on fire from the flame of the Julleuchter! I spent what seemed like quite a few hours entertaining Becca's kids. I realized how easily entertained kids can be if you just put forth some energy. From throwing mardi gras beads around to letting them play with my camera phone. even when they were wound up I had fun. When I got home from the blot there was police tape and cops everywhere on 18th street. Apparently there were shots fired in the area but I don't know much more about it. It freaked me out at first but then I realized I have been living in Ybor City for almost 3 years now and this is the first time something like this has happened. As dangerous it may seem for someone who has not lived in the city it is still safer than Philly or Trenton. (0) Comments
