i am typing this from my coffee table, which is a little odd. i downloaded some TV i've been missing and was going to watch it with my sister, but she had to go do something so i'm out here messing around on the internet instead, waiting for Lost. SO. i thought i'd post some pictures of my puppies, since i haven't since they were very wee. because I can: two pictures I've posted before, from when they were about 8 weeks old. Aurora:and Oliver: both of them, on Feb. 12. just over 9 weeks old. aurora on that same day, in her cute pink hoodie. sadly, it no longer fits her. she's probably glad, as the hood irritated her all the freaking time. it would flop down over her eyes when she ran. this is after their first bath, at 10 1/2 weeks old. they look so pathetic!! so skiiiinnny. we can't wash them both in the sink anymore, they're too big!aurora, Mar 26th. just over 15 weeks, or almost 4 months old, depending on how you want to look at it. Ollie at the same time. Aurora earlier today. They're just over 4 months old now. and looking a bit scruffy! they'd been playing for a long time before this, which always makes them scruffy! aaand, Ollie too. you can't really tell from the pictures, but Aurora used to be a bit bigger than Ollie was. he's quite a bit bigger than her, now. not so much in height or length, but in weight. he's a bit round, and she's pretty skinny. she's ten times easier to pick up, man. he's roly poly and heavy!! although he's still only probably like, 8 lbs. in other news ... i have an eye doctor appt. at freaking 9am tomorrow. you can guess i did not schedule that one myself! sheesh. 9am isn't early for me anymore, but it is if it's my day off and an hour drive away. bah. i watched the Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe the other night. I've been a complete tool lately and not updated at all, but I had to pop on today for a minute to wish madzilla a (slightly late) Happy Birthday!!! because she is one the awesomest people I know and most definitely one of the greatest people I've met from LJ. I always have such a wonderful time with you, dearie! I hope your birthday was fabulous and I can't wait to see you again this summer! yayes!I also need to thank you for the card!!! eep!!! it arrived on Saturday. penguin sho cute! and OMG! you had Cliff sign a postcard for me!!!!! :D that is so awesome! thank you so much!!!! I keep pulling it out and giggling like the pathetic fangirl that I am. heee. my life isn't really worth posting about right now, which is why I've been absent. the only thing of importance to me at the moment is my puppies and no one wants to here me prattle on about them all the time. they're getting bigger, though. aurora's gained almost 3 lbs, and Oliver's gained over 4. whee. hope everyone is wonderful! i'll try to pop in again soon.

eek, i've done a worse job than normal in keeping up with this lately! and i promised to post pictures of the puppies ages ago, but the puppies have made my life quite busy. and i know any of you with children would laugh at me because having a baby would be much more time consuming, but i swear they are like little children to me and need so much attention! the second i am not watching they run and pee in the corner! their names are Oliver and Aurora, and Aurora is 'mine' so to speak, which only really means that I am more or less in charge of her, and she sleeps in my bed at night -- which I'm slightly regretting because it's making the crating while we're out ten times more difficult. that's really the only problem we're having. the potty training is going pretty good. they're no where near trained, but they're both at the point where they understand that it's a good thing to pee on the potty training pads, and for being not quite 9 weeks old that's a good start. but yeah, when we leave? they cry and whine and howl, the entire time without fail. i don't know what we're going to do. so far they haven't been left alone for more than about 90 minutes, but that's still a really long time. i'd read up on crate training before we got them and have read more since, but everything i've read says that they should be quiet within 30 minutes of leaving or so. tomorrow they have to be left for about 6 hours total, with a break in the middle. if they keep up the crying, i don't know what will happen. i live in an apartment with very thin walls! my neighbors will start to complain any time now, i'm sure. anyhow -- it probably sounds like i'm unhappy with them, which isn't true at all. they're beautiful loving puppies, and i couldn't be happier to have them! i'm just freaked out about the leaving them thing. we took them to our vet yesterday, and they are both healthy. they both have a slight birth defect -- an umbilical hernia, but it can be fixed in both of them when they are spayed/neutered, and shouldn't be anything to worry about. they were both weighed, too, and Oliver is 4.1 lbs, and Aurora is 4.3 lbs. so tiny! i'm not sure how big they'll get. the vet they saw as wee puppies said 'under 9 lbs' but who knows. right, here are a bunch of pictures! Aurora is the lighter colored puppy, and Oliver the darker one. She seems to have inherited a bit more of her Momma's looks (she is a tibetan spaniel) and Oliver is taking after his Papa a bit more (Yorkshire Terrier). anyhow, i can hear my sister trying to keep control of them, as they seem to have woken from their nap and are now terrorizing her, as they do. i'll try to keep in touch better with you all.

sigh. most of the pink is gone from my hair. i miss it already. it's just too difficult to upkeep on my own and too expensive to continue paying for. there is still some pink, but it's not nearly as much or as bright as it was. ah, well. atleast the roots are gone, though, and the black is shiny and really black again. saw 'the Chronicles of Narnia' last night with my sister. OMG, I loved it so much. and wow, was the kid who played Peter pretteh or what? right now I'm waiting for my sister to get ready and then we're going to go pick up some stuff at the craft store so she can make presents. I should be doing christmas shopping, as i have absolutely none done, but likely i won't. we'll see. i may go see Kong tonight, too, but it depends. i have a million other things to say, but it will have to wait until later, I guess. i was told once that it looked like I was trying to emulate Billie Joe's hairstyle/color. which is funny because his is all long and shaggeh as is mine, again. hee. not intentional, though.
