29-MAY-2002 05:49Hmm. Random thought before I'm off to bed. (They call this insomnia, by the way.)Is it really bad to be a hopeless romantic? I was talking to a friend today about just that. Seems we're both in the same sort of boat there. You almost want to feel like throwing in the proverbial towel of happily-ever-after sometimes. But what's the alternative? To not feel such things, to not even desire? Yeah, I had a pet rock once, but I never aspired to be one. Off to get my eyes done.... . So what's the hopeless romantic to do in this world of ours? Lose hope? Give up? Figure that second best will do? Accept nothing that isn't perfect? Forget the whole blooming mess? Does anybody else cry over Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet anymore?.
