Commencement - a new day to my future
Posted 3/29/2007 8:11:50 AM
On March 22, I graduated from my university.
4 years has gone so fast…

I grew so much in this 4 years.
I met good friends and some great teachers at college.
I miss them. Yes I will…

It’s so weird I’m not a student any longer.
And I don’t have to take any more classes.

But well,
Life is like a school, and you’ll keep on learning from it.
There are still many lessons to take, right??

To all of my friends at college, and teachers who supported me thru this 4 years,
I THANK each one of You.
Let’s keep in touch.
And I’m proud to say this…
“I LOVE U ALL!!!!!!!!!!”

Hope many happiness await our future.

ordinary days: That was just adorable!!
Posted 2/10/2007 10:19:07 AM
How ya doin’, Guys??
I finished writing my graduation thesis and I’m goin’ to graduate in March.

Last week, I went back to my hometown and was staying at my house.
My older sister and her son visited me, and here is what happened.

My cutie-one-year-old nephew was playing with something like empty cereal bowl and a spoon.
He held a spoon in his hand and moving it inside a bowl just like stir something.
(I guess he was trying to pretend he was cooking.)

I sat next to him and said,
“Wow!! What cha cooking?? I’m starving. Can I have some??”
And opened my mouth saying “Ahhhhhh”.

Guess what he did??

He looked me in the eye, and moved his spoon to my mouth!!
(Just like his mum does to him, u know, lol.)

That was sooooooooooooo adorable!!

Of course, spoon was empty so it tasted nothing.
But I went “Mmmmm!! Yum Yum” lol.

To tell u da truth, I’m not having a GOOD relationship with my family.
They treat me like shit, and disrespect me all the times.
I get depressed when I’m around them…
And I do not like my family.

BUT!!
I LOVE my nephew SOOOOOO MUCH!!
(His daddy treats me like a shit too, tho)
He keeps me sane.

Tetsuya, I LOVE U!!

English is such a difficult language to write!! (Or it's just for me!?)
Posted 12/9/2006 7:21:27 AM
I’m still working on my graduation thesis which about homophobia.
Since my major is English, I’m writing my thesis in English.
That’s just a hard work for non-native English speaker somebody like me…

I mean, I love SPEAKING English but WRITING in English is sooooooo difficult.
The biggest problem is choosing the right “Article”. You know, “A” “An” “The” .

My language doesn’t have a system like an “Article” like in English.
So, every time my teacher (he is American) checks my writing, he goes like...

“You put “a” but actually it’s “the” ”… or

“Sorry nami, you have to put “the” not “a” for this situation”…

I just can’t stop laughing coz he says those stuff every 30 seconds when he’s checking my writing!!

There are so many books about English article for non-native English speakers, and according to those books, there are 50 rules to choosing right article!! FIFTY RULES, man. That’s crazy!!

I wanna say this to every native English speaker. “You guys are sooooo SMART!!”. Maybe you guys can choose right articles unconsciously, but that's great, man!! I would have headache when i try to remember all 50 rules, haha!!

Well, I have tons of stuff to do to finish my thesis!!!!!!!!
Hope I can finish it before Christmas...

Working on my graduation thesis.
Posted 11/22/2006 7:01:04 AM
Mmm… I’d been gone for a LONG time…
Currently, I’m working on my graduation thesis.
Writing a graduation thesis may not be popular in the U.S., but most of the university or college in my country has that kind of system.

My topic is focused on homophobia.
Even though I’m a straight, I have so such interest in homophobia.
Cause, I just don’t understand why so many ppl tryin to deny gay people.
Sexual orientation may be the really small part which makes who you are,
But I don’t think it’s something need to be bashed.
One of my friends is gay but I don’t even give a damn about who he would love, you know??

Unfortunately, study of homophobia is really new topic in my country.
So, most people don’t even know the term “homophobia”.
But it doesn’t mean my country is not a homophobic country.
Media portrays gays as object of something to be laughed at most of the times
And there are no laws or rights for gay couple.

Are you homophobic??
What do you think about homophobia??

Well, there are so many works to finish my thesis!!
Gotta back to work,
Bye for Now.

I'm back!!
Posted 3/27/2006 3:00:45 AM
Wow,I'm back to Newblog after a month finally.

How have I been?? I was sick for a month!!
I had terrible headache so, was lying in my bed most of the day.

I just couldn’t take the pain any longer, so I brought myself to the doctor.
Seems I’d been having bad blood circulation. Doctor found that I have severe stiff in my neck, shoulder, and back which I wasn’t aware of.
Medicine he game is working really good, so I don’t think it’s really a serious disease, but tomorrow I’ll take a MRI brain scan for just in case.

If you have headache for more than a week, you should go to see your doctor, OK?
You don’t have to hold the pain for a month like me, haha!!

Music: Martha
Posted 2/4/2006 12:42:53 AM
Operator, number, please:
it's been so many years
Will she remember my old voice
while I fight the tears?
Hello, hello there, is this Martha?
this is old Tom Frost,
And I am calling long distance,
don't worry 'bout the cost.
'Cause it's been forty years or more,
now Martha please recall,
Meet me out for coffee,
where we'll talk about it all.

And those were the days of roses,
poetry and prose and Martha
all I had was you and all you had was me.
There was no tomorrows,
we'd packed away our sorrows
And we saved them for a rainy day.

And I feel so much older now,
and you're much older too,
How's your husband?
and how's the kids?
you know that I got married too?
Lucky that you found someone
to make you feel secure,
'Cause we were all so young and foolish,
now we are mature.

And those were the days of roses,
poetry and prose and Martha
all I had was you and all you had was me.
There was no tomorrows,
we'd packed away our sorrows
And we saved them for a rainy day.

And I was always so impulsive,
I guess that I still am,
And all that really mattered then
was that I was a man.
I guess that our being together
was never meant to be.
And Martha, Martha,
I love you can't you see?

And those were the days of roses,
poetry and prose and Martha
all I had was you and all you had was me.
There was no tomorrows,
we'd packed away our sorrows
And we saved them for a rainy day.

And I remember quiet evenings
trembling close to you...

I love this song, Martha by Tom Waits.
This is so sad song but still beautiful......

Misunderstanding...
Posted 1/27/2006 10:33:54 AM
Today, I learned how I was stupid. My misunderstanding almost ruined a chance to know someone better.

Herefs what happened todayc.

After my class, I was at the library and writing some papers. My classmate asked me if she could have a seat next to mine. I didn't like her much but said gYeah, of course!!h. I and she are taking two same classes. I have worked once with her for the presentation. She was kind a slacker so, I have thought like hSuch an irresponsible person!! I donft want to be a friend w/ herc We just donft get alongch Since the group work, we spoke just a lil bit, but we werenft something like friends.

At the library, we started chatting. (Of course w/ small voices. There was not much ppl. So, we didnft bother anybody. Ifm pretty sure). First we were talking some boring stuff like eHowfs yr class goin'??f And our topic became about our future. We are going to graduate in 2 more semesters so thatfs kinda natural thing to talk about. She told me that she has no clue whatfs her life gonna be like just like I donft have with mine. And she is feeling some fears for her future just like Ifm feeling for mine.

I was like gWow!! I feel the same ways!!h I had judged like gWe wont get alongh after the group work, but I started feeling Ifve been wrong and understood we can be good friends.

We kept talking, talking, talking, and talking. We were sooooooooo surprised that we have so many thing in common. We have kinda same bad memories about our ex boyz. We were dumped by selfish guyz who couldnft forget former girlfriends. We just canft forget 'bout those boyz(even though we hate 'em), and we become deeply depressed because of excc. So, we can understand our pain just like nobody does. Soon we got along and promised to go to bar and find new boyz!!!!!

I was sooo happy to find a new friend. Ifve been a fool but today, all of my misunderstanding about her has disappeared. I was stupid but I learned that I was. Nothing is too late if I learn from my mistakes. I just canft wait to go to bar with her!!!!!

ordinary days: Starting just today
Posted 1/26/2006 7:07:51 AM
HEY!! What's up?? welcome to my weblog!!!!

I started this weblog just because i wanted to have friends from all over the world.
Let me introduce myself.
I am nami, a 20 years old college student. I'm majoring in English. I used to stay in Iowa and Hawaii as a foreign exchange student for an year in each state.
Gonna graduate in 2 more semesters, and lately, i am soooooo frustrated w/ my future. I just don't know what my life gonna be like.... All that I can say is just wanna be free, and wanna be me. Hope that I can write some positive stuff on this weblog, lol.

I LOVE MUSIC, esp HARD ROCK!!!! My favorite bands are System of A Down, Papa Roach, P.O.D, and stuff. Do you like any of them??
Besides hard rock, I love many kinds of music. Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Oldies, Punk, etc. I just LOVE any music other than Country and Classic music, ha ha.

As you can see from my picture, I'ma Tomboy. I like hip-hoppie kinda style. I miss shopping at American malls...

Well, I gotta go for now. I'll try to write an article daily. Hope you'll like my Weblog.
Bye,
