Bible College Posted 10/10/2008 7:02:22 AM Well, I got my first test grade and I made a 94. Not bad for an old lady.. Yes, I am doing this for college credit. I hope to earn my bachelors degree in theology. we have started Church history and it is very interesting..we started with the resurection of Christ and work forwad.. there is a lot more involved than I would have thought. believe it or not I have a day today with no meetings or activities. guess I'll clean house.. I am involved with the senior group we are having a lunchon today. also attending the womens group. Holy Ghost Power Posted 10/2/2008 7:53:13 AM I went to church last night and what a spritial feast. The Holy Ghost came down and Pastor was not even able to preach. people were falling out, shouting ,and dancing. It was wonderful. I feel so uplifted this morning. time goes by Posted 8/11/2008 11:06:31 AM Dear Friends A lot has happened to me since the last time i wrote. I was without a puter for quite a while. I got a nice laptop for my husband. he was bedridden and could not get to a regular desk set. on june 14 my dear husband Gaylord went home to be with the LORD. I sure do miss him but I know he is at peace now. he suffered a lot the last few months but his suffering is over now. I have faith that some day we will be reunited in Heaven.. I have signed up for some college courses. working toward my bachlors degree in theology. If I make it I will me 71 when i graduate. Happy Thanksgiving Posted 11/20/2007 1:25:41 PM We have so many things to be thankful for. sometimes I complain about my life and the burdens I have to bare. but when it gets right down to it, God has been very good to me. I have a pleasant home to live in, enough food , an adorable little dog, but most of all I have Jesus Christ as my savior. good news Posted 10/31/2007 10:04:32 AM my husband went to the doctor mon. and the doctor seemed to think that the nodule on his lung was nothing to be concerned about. however he is going to keep his eye on it.. he has to go back in 2 months to make sure there is no change.. praise God, thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts.. please pray Posted 10/20/2007 7:39:11 AM Thrusday my dear husband had a CAT scan and they have found a nodule on his left lung. We do not know yet what the doctor is going to do about it but the nurse did say that it is serious..he is 82 yrs old.. please pray for him (0) Comments

back in Georgia Posted 10/17/2007 2:55:20 PM well, I am back in Georgia, after much soul searching I took my husband out of the nursing home . we have rented a small house here. it is an older house and small , just 4 rooms but has lots of charm.. we are happy with it.. Gaylord is not much better than he was . he still spends most of his time in bed. but I am happy to be able to do what I can for him.. i know when I ran away from my responsibilites I was out of God's will. Now I am back. I still have a lot of hard work to do but now I know I am back in God's will and I am happy. Please keep me in your prayers (1) Comments

Frady Family Reunion Posted 9/5/2007 6:52:34 AM I am starting to adjust to the single life again. I enjoy my solitude. I can come and go as I want with no one to have to account to.. I have not found a church that I feel at home in yet but I am sure the Lord will let me know when I have found the right one..I have tried several and they are nice but not THE ONE. Monday Sept. 3 Edie and I attended a family reunion in a town near here. lots of good food and cousins that I have not seen in many years.. It was such fun talking over old times and remembering things we had done as children.. meeting new sons in law and daughters in law and new grandchildren it is hard to realize that ones that I knew as children have grands and great-grands. there was only one of the "older generation " there an aunt. my cousin Jim remarked "that I guess that now makes us the older generation". what a thought.. update on my life Posted 8/29/2007 4:38:30 PM a lot has happened in my life in the past month. I broke my collar bone.. my husband became a lot more helpless.He wanted to move to Georgia where he has a lot of friends. so we sold , gave away, abandoned practically everything we owned.and drove to Gainesville Georgia. we stayed with friends of Gaylords for a few days and it became obvious that I could no longer care for him.. I put him in a nursing home there and left.. I came to Athens tennessee where I have relatives. I have rented a small effecency apartment, just big enought for me and Joshua ( my little dog) . I occationally have guilt feelings but I know that it was for the best. He is so much better off where he can be cared for properly. needless to say he is not to happy about it. that is one of the reasons I came to tennessee so I would not be close enough for him to put pressure on me to take him out I am still having a lot of pain in my shoulder.but other than that I am adjusting to the single life again. It is good not to have to answer to anyone . I come and go as I want. and NO, I am not dating and never want to again. I will never put myself under a man's control again.. I enjoy being alone.. I am very proud of her she is such a wonderful mother to those that God has placed in her care both by birth and by other means But I want you all to know that she is also a wonderful careing daughter. I fell sunday night and broke my collar bone I AM in a lot of pain and not able to use my right arm at all(i am typing this very slowly hunt and peck style)she spent hours on the phone long distance( she lives in Idaho and i in Florida) to find some one to come in and help care for me and her step-dad she calls several times a day to check up on us she is so loving it always makes me feel better just to talk to her GOD BLESS YOU MISSY I love you (1) Comments

Not enough exercise, too much junk food, eating from depression... ok so now its back to Salads to eat and water to drink..No more potato chips, (they are my weakness).Does anyone have any suggestions on diet foods, especially snack foods.. thanks (1) Comments

the three muskateers. Posted 6/22/2007 4:55:28 PM I have just spent 3 days with my two favorite people in the world. my cousins, Edie, and Joyce. we had not seen each other in many long years. and the first whole day was talk, talk , talk. we had a lot of catching up to do. as Edie says, our "remember whens" Edie and I are more like sisters her mother and my Dad were brother and sister.we lived next door to each other most of our growing up years. and neither of us had a sister so we sort of adoped each other. and Joyce is a very special cousin too. she had had some hard times lately but she does not let it keep her from enjoying life. Wednesday we left early and drove to St. Augustine to see the sunrise over the ocean. however it was overcast and we did not see much. Then we walked on the beach and picked up shells, Joyce has some physical limitations so she would point to a shell with her toe and I picked it up for her.. After a quick breakfast of hot dogs we drove to the old fort. looked at all the old relics of long ago wars.Edie is really in to artistic photography and got some really good shots. Then after a walk through "old Town" and gawking at the old spanish style buildings , We indulged in a lunch at KFC. stuffed full of chicked we drove home to colapse. They have gone back now and I sure do miss them but as Edie said , "She is only a click away. (0) Comments

nerve damage Posted 5/31/2007 3:52:46 PM I went to the doctor yesterday and they have determined that i have nerve damage in my right leg. this could have been caused by a fall some time ago.. I am on some new meds . don't know if it will work or not too soon to tell. at least now i know what is causing me so much pain. it is NOT all in my head. I am afraid I am not very brave where pain is concerned.. but this is something I may have to learn to live with.. I have a strong faith in GOD and i know He will help me overcome . Posted 5/20/2007 3:03:13 AM I am beginnig to feel better , I have been very sick. the medication that I was taking for my parkensons disease had a very bad reaction. I ended up in the ER twice in one week.. they have changed my meds 3 times.. but finally I am starting to feel better..hopefully the pills I am on now will do the job.. time will tell. I could feel all the prayers and good thoughts of my New Blog Family.. thank you all so very much you will never know how much it means to me..please keep me in your prayers that this new treatment will continue to work. summer comes to Florida Posted 4/27/2007 1:53:15 AM Sure was hot here yesterday, 89 summer has begun..In a way I dread it..the only time I can go out on my dock is early morning.. I have two big bay windows facing west. and the afternoon sun turns my livingroom into a furnace.. I have put up thermal blinds and that seems to help a lot..I do enjoy my early mornings I take a cup of coffee and my Bible and go to my dock.. a special quiet time with my LORD. It really sets the tone for my day Mark 6:31 And He said unto them "come ye yourselves apart into a desert place and rest awhile. Thought for the day, take a little quiet time to just think of HIM and enjoy being in HIS presence.. Have a Blessed Day. (1) Comments

But I think as Christians we need to "Not let our good be evil spoken of" you may not know it ,but others are watching you and the impression you make could effect the way they think of christians in general.. I heard a pastor once say , be careful what you say and do , You may be the only Bible some people will read.. We are all evangelists, But some of us preach with a smile and a kind word. Did you help when you saw someone in need? answer, well almost every time, Did you pay your tythe ? umm almost were you a loving and faithful husband ? yes, well almost , there was that one time.... then it was the man's turn.."tell me did I make it to heaven " St. Peter answered "ALMOST" Oh I know Good deeds won't get you in to heaven. You must take Jesus Christ as your savior. The word christian means follower of Christ. So we must follow HIM . and do as HE would do.. Back to the original question.. God is real Posted 4/10/2007 6:50:57 AM Have you ever had a dream that was very real? almost every one has at one time or the other. but I ask you, can you prove it to me? can you show be proof that you had this dream? You can't, but that does not make it less true. God is real , I cannot offer you solid proof that He lives, yet I know im my heart that He is real. It's called faith. I do not know how electricity works. How power gets in to those wires. but even though I don't,understand it I flip a switch and know that a light will come on..that is a type of faith.. that is the kind of faith I have in the Father..I cannot show him to you, and sometines like electricy , I don't completely understand How He works..but I have faith that He will work in my life. all I have to do if flip the (prayer) switch and I know the light will come on.. I Get a new purse Posted 4/9/2007 7:11:22 AM yesterday Gaylord decided to help me clear off the table for breakfast , there was a small bottle of craft paint sitting on the table , he picked it up and dropped it in my purse, I didn't know it.. later when we were leaving for church, I reached in my purse to get my keys and the lid had come off the bottle of paint and my purse was full of paint.. everything was ruined. check book, wallet, address book, calculator, my cell phone, (I was able to clean most of the paint out of my cell phone so fortuntatly it works ok) and of course my favorite purse was ruined.. neadless to say I was a little upset with Him.. but it is hard to stay mad at him for long. so I forgave him. now I get to buy a new purse.. what a way to start Easter morning.. However we did manage to go to the sunrise service at the park .. It was cold but a good spirit prevailed.. the sunrise over the river was just breathtaking.. I felt uplifted for the rest of the day.
