The BRAIN explained that since he controlled all theparts of the body, he should be boss. The LEGS argued that they should be boss, since they could take the body anywhere it wanted. The STOMACH argued with the explanation that since he digested all the food, he kept the body healthy; therefore he should be boss. The EYES said that without vision, man could not see where he was going,therfore they should be boss.

How do cavities form in teeth? Posted 11/16/2006 8:52:45 AM Your teeth are pretty tough but they must have care in order to stay healthy. After you eat, tiny bits of food are left between your teeth. If this bits of food are not brushed away, bacteria in the mouth ferment the sugar and the starches in the food, making acids. The acids may eat through the hard tooth enamel to form cavities. After the tooth enamel has been damaged, the decay can go right through the sensetives soft center of our tooth and give you a toothache. A visit to the dentist is the only remedy for tooth decay once it occurs.

How does hair grow? Posted 11/16/2006 7:38:55 AM Hair grows out of tiny openings of follicles in the skin. Each hair is a series of scaly cells piled one on top of the other. These hair scales are made out of a tough substance called keratin. At the base of each hair is a bulb shape root. This root receives nourishment from the body and produces keratin. As new hair cells form, they push the old scales up through the follicles causing the hair to grow and lengthen. Hair color is due to a coloring matter know as pigment. This pigment becomes part of the hair cells as they form in the roots.
