Liddell also had eight assists, narrowly missing becoming the first player in Saint Louis history to record a triple-double. Ian Vouyoukas had 19 points and eight rebounds, and Kevin Lisch added 13 points for Saint Louis (13-10, 7-4 Atlantic 10), which has won four of its past five games. Duquesne (3-20, 1-11) lost its fifth in a row and for the 14th time in the past 15 games. Liddell, who also had a game-high four steals, reached double figures in rebounds midway through the second half and scored his 10th point with three minutes remaining. But he was unable to come up with the two assists needed to make school history. Bryant McAllister led Duquesne with 20 points. Sean McKeon added eight points and five rebounds for the Dukes, who haven't won a home game since Dec. 20. Duquesne led only once early in the game. Saint Louis followed with a 22-4 run and twice held 14-point leads in the first half. Duquesne used a 16-2 run in the second half to pull within 57-51 with 6:18 left, but the Dukes could get no closer. Duquesne was 15-for-15 from the foul line, but that could not offset 39.6 percent shooting from the floor. Saint Louis held a 37-24 rebounding edge and a 7-2 advantage in steals. Saint Louis, a first-year member of the Atlantic 10, hadn't played Duquesne since 1956. The Dukes lead the all-time series 3-1.

Rebounding proved to be a bright spot for the Dukes, as they outrebounded the Owls, 34-33. Shenita Landry led Temple with 7 boards and four blocks, while Lady Comfort grabbed six. Gwen Browne earned a career-high three steals. Dupree and Hairston dished four assists a piece to lead the Owls.
