I'm alright Posted 12/22/2008 6:58:08 AM Thank you to everyone who responded to my earlier post (not the meme).I am handling this really well. The whole night when we were at the house with the nurse/social worker from the hospital she kept commenting on how well we (my mother and I) were handling things. We just told her we were "used to it" We went through this with my grandfather about 15 or so years ago. I watched the funeral home take her out of the house and into the van then into the snowy night and down the road. I cleared the path of snow for them to get to the van as the were putting her in the body bag in the house, perhaps the last service I will provide for her.People miss people, but mostly they miss the peripherals that come with the people. I'm going to miss the holiday get togethers at her house. The family poker games. That house in general; every living generation of the family has lived in that house for some period of time, all the kids and all the grandkids. Ah Beavis practically scratched the mole on my right arm off when I carried him. . The house was built the year I was born and has been in the family ever since. "Everything Is Great!". . Mt grandfathers ashes and soon my grandmothers will be spread among the fruit trees at the back end of the 5 acres. That alone is the reason I want to keep the house and land in the family.My family, at least my mothers side, prides itself on its mental and emotional strength. We will get through this.. The End Posted 12/15/2008 6:54:44 PM Grandmother died today. She went in the late afternoon. I said my goodbyes and thank yous. Funeral home picked her up around 11 PM. She is going to be cremated ad spread in the same spot her husband was. (0) Comments

Another beating Posted 12/10/2008 1:41:08 PM Another meet another beating. We lost thos one 72-28. Once again we gave up 42 points in forfiets. I may be looking at a 1 win season this year. Time to start focusing on the individuals on the team. (0) Comments
