thought of the day: top ten reasons to become a vegitarian. Posted 5/22/2007 2:41:49 PM okay so i've done some research and came up with a few reasons to go vegan/vegitarian. 10.) its healthy. 9.)the way they kill the animals that we eat is both cruel, and inhumane. 8.) they have feelings too, they can feel pain and fear just as much as you and me. 7.)would you like it if i came over to your house and just started beating your dog over the head with a club? i think not. 6.) meat has many things you dont nead. 5.) vegans/vegitarians live longer. 4.) just 1 vegitarian can save more than 100 animals a year, so yeah, we are making a difference. 3.) there are so many celebs and athletes going veg, so why not give it a try? 2.) you can still have a balanced diet even if you go veg. 1.) and the number one reason...........if you're trying to lose those few puonds, here is the healthiest, most surefire way to do it. don't believe me? well then just look around, have you ever seen a fat vegitarian? exactly. thought of the day: animals Posted 5/16/2007 2:55:48 PM okay so millions of animals are dying every year, and if you really love you pets, then you'll pay attention. you can help stop this cruel, sickening world by checking out these web sites, reading my blog about vegitarians, and cutting meat, and animal products out of the picture. just think, you can save more than 100 animals a year, and thats just you, imagine if just because of this little blog 10 more people went veg, only you can stop the madness, and save a life, check out these websites: peta.com, peta2.com, petakids.com, and goveg.com, and save animal's life today. a really good idea Posted 4/11/2007 9:30:36 AM okay so i just heard about this group thing at the monroe correctional facility. the inmates go there once a week and talk about why they did what they did, where they WANT to go from here, and where they NEED to go from here. an 80 year old volunteer named Betty Hupp comes here to "listen not lecture" the inmates focusing hugely on "when you get out". "Craig is the director of the rehab program at the jail. He says local studies show six months after their release, inmates who underwent treatment at the jail were half as likely to be re-arrested as those who didn't." which i think is awsome, its about time someone gave up their time to help the people in jail, they are the ones who need it the most, because chances are they grew up in a home where they were constantly kicked around, and shot down by other, and they need someone to giude them and to listen to them for once. i dont think just throwing them in some little cell does shit for them, it just pisses them of more. i mean, yeah, there are those special cases where that isn't true, like if it is just something like fraud, well there aint much you can do for them, or like child molesters, or rapists, people like that don't even deserve a chance in my mind, i think they should just be put on death row, they dont deserve to even live those sick, sadistic, bastards. but i think the teens, and young adults would benefit greatly from it, especislly if it is just a minor case, or offense. things like stealing, murder, abuse, robbery, things like that could work. whats going on now: ralph "buckey" phillips Posted 4/11/2007 9:07:46 AM okay so whats the deal with this guy? "Phillips has been in trouble with the law for most of his life. His criminal history is pages long, and documents a life of burglary, car theft, and stalking old girlfriends." with all this you think they would put him in a more "suitable" and strict environment, or something. and then ontop of that Ralph "Bucky" Phillips fled from Alden County Correctional Facility in Western New York on April 2, 2006 by using a can opener to pry his way through a kitchen ceiling and out to freedom. it makes me wonder how much they really watch these people. i mean come on they had to have a camera taping this guy somewhere, my school has better surveillance/security than this. its a fucking prison, arent they supposed to be watched 24/7? pissed Posted 4/11/2007 8:52:11 AM gawd!!!!!! im so pissed, i posted a HUGE blog yesterday, but i forgot to add a title, so it got deleted. okay so anyways, have you guys heard about all the pet food recalls? well they are making me mad, cuz my dog is now getting sick. she has diarrhea, she hasn't been eating well, and she isn't energetic/hyper anymore. we think its because we bought her dog treats from the brand "ol'roy" at walmart, and that is one of the so-called tainted foods. and now the company "gleason" (Gears manufactured on Gleason machines can be found in the air, in space, on sea and on land. From airplanes to tractors and from power tools to roller coasters, Gleason gears can be found everywhere in a world that needs to move) have moved their company into china! wtf? im starting to wonder if the government is trying to kill us. its crazy, if you look on anything, chances are its made in china, indonesia, japan, or mexico, its almost imposible to find something made in america, we import almost everything, and now its seems like the chinese have started to catch on by lowering the "quality' of the products they are making, because they know that either way we need to get it, and that were not gonna pay alot of money, when we can get cheap labor there. i dont know, maybe its just me, but thats how it seems to me. today Posted 4/9/2007 1:49:03 PM yup. today is a really crappy day, its all wet, and snowy outside, ive never blogged b4 in my life, so i will probably suck ,i cant spell very well, but its okay. im really bored, and tired. its really cold too. wow i complain alot, im so glad were on spring break right now, eww......i have homework. okayt so my new obsession is the band callee "the spill canvas". they are absolutly the best band eveer. im jelous my friend got to go see the "cute is what we aim for" concert. i love them too. i love music, its my life, i constantly am listening to it, even when i sleep, eat, and am on the phone, with out it i would die. also i love poetry. okay, well im gonna go eat, bye!
