Today is Tuesday of my week of Spring Break. I am at Hilton Head Island, which is off the coast of South Carolina. I'm at my Aunt's beach house. It's 8:30 AM and I just ate two chocolate iced doughnuts with chocolate sprinkles. Healthy, right? Well, I suppose I COULD have eaten some melon or grapes, but I needed a sugar rush.
Last night I went to a 9:10 showing of Leatherheads with my Dad. It was okay, not great. We didn't get home until around eleven, which was not helped by the fact that the movie began fifteen minutes late. I got a good night's rest. I'll have to call my Mom soon to check on her. She's at home, and it's just Dad, my Aunt Marilyn, and me.
The computer I'm on is old and slowish (it was brought here yesterday), and was personalized by my cousin Alex (Sissy) with stickers, but the Internet works fine. I'm snagging a spare moment to type when people aren't hawking me or making loud noises in the background. I have the living room and kitchen to myself. The computer's in the kitchen because it was the only place with an unused, working wall outlet and TV's in the living room, of course. It's on VH1.
Well, better get going. Stay tuned!

Hey! Did you know this is the earliest Easter we will ever see in our lives? The last time Easter came on March 23rd was 95 years ago. The next time is is going to be on this date is about 220 years from now. The last time it was on the 22nd was 1818, so no one alive has ever seen an Easter this early and never will!

Wow, I haven't been on in absolutely ages. I am so sorry, guys! I've just been way too busy with school, 4-H, Math Team, Chorus, and other engagements I've had recently. But I've found a spare moment in my busy schedule to get on Newblog. I hear Scoots is accepting nominations for moderators. Well, I'd love to be one, but I don't guess I fit the qualifications just yet. But, oh, well. Maybe next time. But I totally agree with everyone. . . I think Mistletoe should be one! You go, girl! Well, I'm really excited right now. I just got back from St. Simon's Island yesterday. I also signed up for CPA last Monday. I also got to sign up for 4-H camp early on Thursday because I signed up for CPA. For those who don't know, CPA is County Project Achievement. I'm doing mine on an international topic, which is "La Cuisine de France." For those of you who aren't fluent in French (don't feel bad, I'm not either) or can't figure it out on your own, my topic is 'The Cuisine of France'. 4-H Camp is being held this year at Rock Eagle, which is the largest 4-H camp in the world! Rock Eagle itself is located in Eatonton, Georgia, about an hour or so from Atlanta, the capital of Georgia. It'll be a long drive from where I live, but I hope it will be worth it! I had to rate a list of classes from 1 to 7. They were things like Wildlife, Forestry, Lake Ecology, and stuff like that. I don't remember the exact order, but I do know one thing: The two that were at the bottom of my list were Entomology (bugs) and Herpetology (snakes)! Another thing that is going good about my life is my websites. Advice from Hannah is doing remarkably well, with over 3000 hits since July of 2007. For a free hosted site, that is really great. I am very proud of my site. The link for those of you who are interested is www.freewebs.com/advicefromhannah. Also, I'd like to request that everyone reading this please check out my friend's Ezine. It's called the Shannon World Ezine, and it's a magazine online. We are in desperate need of members and contributors so we can get it going. The past two issues have been cancelled, and it looks like the March issue is going to be cancelled. Please help!!!! The link is www.freewebs.com/shannonworldezine. ~Hannah

God, I want another puppy so bad. My Aunt Belinda and Uncle Pacer's dog, Oreo, had eight puppies. Two died at birth, but the other six are healthy and very playful. I went out with my Mom and Grandma to see them yesterday. My Grandma noticed that one was sitting beside the cage on the outside. She wondered how it got out, so I went to go get it. Surprisingly, it let me pick it up. It didn't wriggle away or pee on me or anything like that. I cuddled it until my Grandma found the hole. It was actually where the gate stopped, and there was a large gap there, big enough for a puppy to wriggle through. My Aunt and Uncle were in Macon at the time (they were actually already back, because we met them coming up their driveway as we were leaving), so they didn't know. But the puppy got back in alright.
The puppy that got out was either the smartest of the bunch or the most adventurous. Grandma was worried that if the puppy wandered off, she could get eaten by some big thing like a hawk or snake, or drown in the nearby lake, or get run over if she made it to the road. But I reminded her that the pup was still drinking milk and probably wouldn't go far from her mother. But still, it could have happened. But the puppy that got out is the cutest. She has gray spots all over her, and her eyes are dark, chocolate brown. But she's not the one I truly want. Besides, my Grandma had told her friend at work about that particular puppy, so Grandma's friend was probably going to get it.
After the puppy was put back in the cage, she tried to nurse, but Oreo pushed her away and kept barking at us. Soon after, all the other puppies ventured out of the dog cage. I want a young female solid white one, and if I get her, which isn't likely, her name will be Lily. But, I still have a while until the puppies can be given away, so I will be little Miss Helpful-and-Sweet as much as possible and I'll be begging like crazy.
My argument is this: Chewy, my other dog, needs company when we're not around or it's too muddy for us to play in the yard with him. I will be able to feed, water, and walk the two dogs. (I'll probably have to walk them separately, because Chewy goes very fast and likes to pull. I might not be able to keep up with him and a puppy, or the puppy might not be able to keep up with us.) I will also promise to play with them as often as possible, and I'll promise to go in the backyard every other day and pick up the little presents dogs leave for humans to pick up. (Gross, I know, but necessary because my mom is always complaining about it.) I'll also promise to give them baths whenever they get stinky.
I might have my Dad on my side, but he won't dare go against my mom. But this thing worked when I was determined on getting a hamster. I bugged my mom until she gave in and drove me to the pet store to pick one.
Gawd, I hope she caves. I have a bad case of Puppy-Passion-itis.

Howdy, peeps! Even though I totally despise Hannah Montana, I love Miley Cyrus's song. I don't know the name, but it goes, 'You asked what's wrong with me, and my best friend Leslie said, "Oh, she's just being Miley."' Gawd dang, it's addicting! ~Hannah

Jamie Lynn Spears is pregnant! I can't believe it! My mom told me while we were in the grocery store, when I was looking at a magazine that said Britney was preggers.
I always thought Jamie Lynn was a nice, clean, good role model for young girls, and now she's sixteen and preggers by her boyfriend! It seems like that now she's heading down the same path as her big sister, even though it seemed like she was the only normal one in the family.
I'm expecting the cancellation of her Nickelodeon show, Zoey101. I can't say I'm happy that they might cancel it, but personally, I don't care now that the news has sunk in.
Before, whenever Britney did something crazy, I would say, "Poor Jamie Lynn." But now, the table has definitely turned!

Today is my mom's birthday. Joy to the freaking world. She's as pi$$ed as ever, and I can't stand it anymore! UGH! But, oh well. At least she didn't slap me again. Yesterday, I was mad at my mom. So I screamed at her, "I HATE YOU!" She ran at me, slapped me, and gave me a scratch on my nose with her stupid fingernail! UGH! Today, school was fairly boring. Social Studies class was interesting, like it usually is. We just finished learning about World War I. I could be finishing a study guide right now, but I don't feel like it. :D And reading class was super boring. We learned about.... *duhdahdahdaaaaah* research skills. *womp, womp, womp* I finished my Math homework and my Reading homework. I went over to my neighbor Haley's house. We were going to get on Haley's computer, but Haley's older sister Devin was using it. So we sat on the couch and watched TV while Haley's brother played his PSP. Then Devin made us go outside, so we played basketball. Haley and I threw the ball back and forth a total of 400 times. Then Charlie (Haley's brother) got made and threw the ball at Haley's back hard. So Devin made him go inside. Nothing else really happened. I played with Haley, Charlie came back out, and then at 5:00 Devin made them go inside. *Bo-RING.* ~Hannah

The Internet was created for people like me to get on it when they have nothing better to do. I could be helping my mother prepare for tomorrow, which is Thanksgiving, but what do I look like, an angel? :D Heh, heh. I love puns. I just created a Facebook account today. I actually created it to promote my website, but it turns out my cousin Alex and my friend from Neopets, Kayleigh, both have Facebook accounts. I'm still trying to figure it out. Don't worry, NB. I wasn't even thinking of deserting you! My dad downloaded Internet Explorer 7 yesterday, and I don't like it. The fonts are so tiny and hard to read on this version, and the color black looks more like forest green sometimes. Maybe it's just me, but I don't think so. I've been updating my site like crazy. I added videos, a story, more poems, and a page full of things to get you kicked out of Walmart. Check it out at: www.freewebs.com/advicefromhannah I went to Savannah on Monday to visit my Nana in the nursing home. She had just got home from the hospital again. But don't worry. She's fine. My Nana is one of those people who is not only a hydrchondriac, but she complains way too much. She's also one of those people (forgive me) who you love but sometimes you just want to pound their head into oblivion. :D I'm watching Ferris Bueller's Day Off for the fourth time in the past three days. It is soooo funny! Even though it's from the eighties, I love it! I wasn't even born when it came out. My parents were in their first few years of marriage, I believe. Well, gotta go! ~Hannah

Yesterday, I had to do four problems for homework from my math book. Everyone else had done it in class, but yesterday was a QUEST day, so I was not present at the time, of course. Almost everybody in the class made a 0, 25, 50, or 75. Katy made a 100, of course, as she enjoyed telling me after lunch. . . Anyways, can you guess what I made? A FREAKING 75!!!!! OMFG! I am so ticked off right now. I made one little mistake in placing my decimal point (it was multiplying decimals) and I missed it! OH MY GOD! I bet my GPA just dropped at least a point. . . *looks miserable* How the heck was I supposed to know that?! They obviously went over it in class. . . when I wasn't there!!!! *looks ticked off* GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and today, in Science class, for a review, we played Jeopardy. Since my team had gone first the previous time, another group went first this time. And guess what? They didn't even win. Group A did. . . (Katy, Hunter H, Ryan, and Lathan!) I was so ticked off with Mrs. Leggett. I could have sworn that my answer was correct, but she didn't seem to think so. OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So of course, we lost. Teddy (his group was the group that went first. Most of the time, that group wins. But not today.) threw a temper tantrum (of course) when Mrs. Leggett told them they lost. He started screaming, he hit another kid, and then stomped out of the classroom. What an immature little freak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My group was the last to get a chance to correct our paper. . . we still didn't get it right. Mrs. Leggett said our first answer could have been acceptable, but by then it was too late. At first, she had just walked over to our table when Teddy threw his tantrum, so she walked away to go try to calm him down. In the end, we had to remind her as we were about to leave. GOD, I AM JUST SO TICKED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~Hannah PS: Thank you for reading this rant!

Well, today I had my second 4-H meeting for the year. I got about six or seven Clover Coupons for donating pop-tabs last month (I got extra because I donated a lot), I got some for doing a demonstration (How To Write a Good Paper), and I got some for going to Officer Training last month. It is so fun being the club Reporter, except my report for last month didn't get published in the newsletter. (My QUEST teacher's son's did, though. ) But Mrs. Lee Anna, our County Extension agent, assured me that it would be in next month's for sure. I hope she told the truth. This month, our October School Service is to make Trick-or-Treat safety posters for younger kids. The October Community Service is to collect money for UNICEF, an organization that takes money and uses it to buy food, water, school supplies, and to immunize children in other countries who either can't afford it themselves or their parents can't afford it. Only one dollar gives a child a shot against the measles! Wow! (I'd hate to have the measles, but I despise shots. I really hate it at the dentist's office, because since I don't like laughing gas, they give me a shot that numbs my mouth.) And whichever class in our school collects the most money for UNICEF wins (you guessed it) A PIZZA PARTY!!!!! YAY! It's a great way to get kids motivated to raise money. :D Anyways, Katy (our 4-H club President) didn't "feel like" stapling the 4-H papers to our 4-H board, so guess who got stuck doing it? You guessed it. Me. Oh, well. Kari (she's not an officer) asked if I wanted help (that stapler DOES NOT like me!), but you know stubborn old me-- I told her no. Also, this month in 4-H, we're selling flower bulbs, fifteen seeds per package, five dollars per package. They're really pretty, and they go to the Bulloch County 4-H!
Well, that's all my 4-H news for today. The next meeting is November 9th, so stay tuned! Well, moving on. . .
As you know, I have an account on Neopets called macy_the_crazy. I've finally learned HTML! I'm a little scared to try fooling around with it on Newblog, though. I'm going to try it, though!

Well, I'm back. I'll write about my vacation after I continue my story. Like I said, we were going to eat at my Aunt Amber and Uncle Jeremy's place for dinner. I also said I was in the nursery with my aunt and cousin. Uncle Jeremy was at the grocery store, like I said. Well, Aunt Amber, Madalyn, and I were the only ones in the nursery at the church. I saw this cute blue little toy that I thought Madalyn (who's eight months old) would enjoy. I sat her in it; but Aunt Amber said, "She'll fall out of that, baby." But her warning came too late; Madalyn slipped sideways and began to squeal. She probably would have gone all the way out, but Aunt Amber and I both dived for her. We grabbed her. Aunt Amber, of course, took her. I backed away, feeling like a stupid idiot. I could tell my face was bright red, and I was practically crying. Aunt Amber comforted her. I didn't hold her for a while. I hate to admit it, but my confidence in myself was shaken. Although Aunt Amber said as reassuringly as possible that it had happened before, I still waited a while before I dared to touch her. Eventually, my Grandma left the service early. It was dragging onward and onward. The preacher was only a substitute, though, so he wasn't familiar with the way things were run at the church. (The regular preacher's wife is in the hospital in Savannah. She had a non-cancerous tumor, but had to under-go surgery to have it removed.) I rode with Aunt Amber in her black Honda Accord sedan. It's the same model, year, and style as my father's, although his is silver. I was crammed in the backseat with Madalyn. It was pouring rain when we arrived, but everything from there went okay. (Except when the well-fed Madalyn got projectile spit-up all over me.) Well, the next day, Uncle Jeremy brought her over during the morning and I got to keep her with Grandma. Then, after lunch and Madalyn's nap, Grandma drove me and Madalyn to Metter to meet my parents, who were coming to pick me up. Then I went home. (After that, I went to the fair. You already know that story, if you've read my other posts.) Then, on Wednesday, we went to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. We had a good time. The pool was "closed for the season" for some reason. It's the middle of freaking October and seventy-nine degrees outside! The pool won't open again until April 1st! How stupid! Anyway, I went to the beach with my dad twice. We shopped at the Tanger Outlets. . . twice. Guess who I saw at the Tanger Outlets? None other than Alyssa Chester and her mother! Alyssa is one of my best friends, and her mom is the school library. What a coinky-dink! We went shopping for a long time earlier today. I went into Old Navy and found a lot of cute T-shirts. Then we went into Liz Claiborne, where I got some shirts. THEN we went into Eddie Bauer, where I bought some jeans. Yay! I'm well prepared for the winter ahead! Then, we stopped by Kilwin's for some ice cream cones. After that, we finally left. We drove about an hour (with Dad driving, me in the passenger seat, and mom snoring away in the back) until we got to the Cracker Barrel in Savannah (near the Mighty Eighth AirForce Mueseum) and ate. Then we drove back, and here I am, at 8:29 PM. We're back much later than I expected, but I must now bid you adiu! ~Hannah PS: I think someone may have hacked my account. Lunalupa was deleted from my friends list (did she do it herself or not?) and my cursor has been changed. I've been on vacation, so I couldn't have done it. Oh, well.

It's Fall Break this week. On Monday, I went to the fair. I worked a two-hour shift at the 4-H Volunteer Food Booth. It was pretty easy for me, because all I had to do was fill up drinks. Someone held a cup while someone else filled it with ice, then they gave it to me. I filled it up with the requested drink, then gave it to another kid, who carried it to the customer. Simple. (And guess who I saw? Katy Zuber, one of my close friends! She didn't see me at first, but I yelled her name until she turned around and spotted me.) After I finished my shift, I walked outside the booth, went around front, ordered some food, and scarfed it down. It was 8:00 PM (a very late dinner for my family and me) and I was hungry, but hey, I wanted to ride the rides! I rode The Caterpillar (a kind of kiddy ride, yes, but my all-time favorite), then Bumper Cars (woo-hoo! Car go BAM BAM!) the Ferris Wheel (this I rode with my father), The Tornado (where I saw the hottie and his pals) and The High-Flyer. On The High-Flyer, you lay down on this little mini-hang glider and it lifts you up and spins you around. I forgot to take off my flip-flops, so the whole time I was clenching my toes to keep them from flying off and a) getting lost or b) bonking someone on the head. October 9th was Amy's (amy_rocks) birthday. Don't worry, Ams, I'll bring you your present next Monday at school! My family and I are going to my aunt and uncle's beach house on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Since today is Wednesday, we'll be gone until Saturday. We would have left on Monday, but I had my shift at the Food Booth and on Tuesday my dad had some errands to take care of in Metter, Georgia and we both went to Write Night. We also bought my Halloween costume last night. We bought fake nails (black with white ghosts), a vampire cape, and face makeup. (eg=black and white makeup.) So anyway, we're leaving today. My parents are getting ready. I'm finishing up everything on the Internet, because I won't be on again until at least Saturday. Even though the beach house has Internet reception, they don't have a computer and we don't have a laptop. Also, last Saturday, I went to the Mighty 8th Airforce Mueseum in Savannah, Georgia. (It's actually in Pooler, but everyone just says Savannah) I went with my mom, Grandma, and Papa. (My Dad was at work.) My favorite part of the mueseum was the Fly Girls Exhibit, which told us about the women pilots during World War II. Did you know the government didn't even pay to send the coffins of women home if they were killed? Oh, well. Then I went to spend the night with my Grandma and Papa. When we woke up the next morning, we went straight to church. I went to see my cousin Madalyn in the nursery for a few minutes. I would have stayed during the service with my aunt and uncle, but I felt it would be wrong to ask that of my Grandma. After the extremely long service, we went to McDonalds (or, as my Papa calls it, Mickey D's) to eat. Afterwards, we went to my Aunt Amber and Uncle Jeremy's house to see Madalyn. Grandma and Aunt Amber had to get ready to go to a bible study at the church, and Uncle Jeremy was outside working in the yard, so guess what? I GOT TO BABYSIT MADALYN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was my first time babysitting her. Even if Uncle Jeremy was there, I was alone in the house. I was proud that I didn't do anything horrible. . . yet. When Uncle Jeremy took Madalyn and I to the church for the evening service, I stayed in the nursery with Aunt Amber and Madalyn. Uncle Jeremy went to the grocery store to get food. My grandparents and I were going to their house for dinner that night. I'll continue later.

Well, the fair is in town!!! Also, it's Fall Break. Last night, I volunteered at the 4-H Food Booth. It was hard work, but all I had to do was fill up drinks at the drink machine. I wore my red 'Bulloch County 4-H' t-shirt. I painted my nails red to match, and my mom flipped. She is always so judgemental about my style! I mean, seriously, it's not like I'm showing up in a bikini or something!!! But my father liked them, so I ignored her. Anyways, my shift was from 6 to 8 PM. (The fair didn't open until 6.) After I ate at about 7:55 PM (they let us out a little early because there were too many people up front taking orders and filling drinks.) I got on some rides. They were all like four tickets per person, and twenty tickets at a ticket-selling booth was twenty fricking bucks! Oh, well. I got on the Tornado alone. . . and three boys (there's four seats per thingamabob) sat by me. One of them. . . well, let's just say, he was pretty nice looking, if you catch my drift! -Hannah

My Grandma and Papa are going to the Airforce mueseum in Pooler, and they might come to my house. I wanted to go to Lyons and see the baby, but. . . I might get to do it. I haven't seen her since my birthday on September 11th. First she got tubes put in her ears, then she had rotavirus, THEN my Aunt and Uncle went to Atlanta for my uncle's job. . . grrrr! ~Hannah

Currently on the radio: 'Soldier Boy'. Yup, I'm reading Inkheart. You know, that 500-page long book by Cornelia Funke? (Ha ha. Funke.) I'm unusually prideful of my reading ability. Way too prideful, if I ask myself. I'm obsessed with not sounding stuck-up, or like I have too much pride, or braggy. But sometimes, people just get so offended at the littlest things, I don't know what I should say or do. I'm also obsessed with acting like I'm nothing special, which I probably am, but I am just so stupid, I find myself subconciously thinking, "I could read that in two hours, tops!" while looking at a 500 page book. God, I have not only made myself feel so stupid, I'm confusing myself! But anyway, back to Inkheart. I tried reading it last year; however, the story was way too confusing and complicated and personally, it bored me quite a bit. It was my school's book, and shortly after reaching chapter two I decided to slam the book shut and take it back to my school's library later. Does anyone know what A.R is? (Yes, Amy, I know you know what it is.) AR stands for Accelerated Reading, for anyone who doesn't know. It's where every book in the school library (or at least most) are on a specific level and worth a specific number of points. When you finish the book, you come back to school the next day, get on the computer, and take a test on it. Depending on your score, you get a certain number of points. For example, Inkheart is worth 23 points. If I make a 100 on it, I get 23 points. It's a very simple process, really. Right now I'm on page 190 or so. I'd hoped to finish it by Monday, but I doubt it, unless I hole up inside, lock myself in my room, and force myself to read for about three hours straight. I don't have A.D.D or anything, but I'm sorry, even if I do love to read, I'll get bored eventually!!!!!! For two years straight I've had the highest A.R points in my school. I'm not exactly sure how many I have now, but it's somewhere around 170. My dad added it up: I'll have about 400 by the end of the year. Well, I have to have more than that if I want to go for a third year. Two years ago, I had 718.9 points, and last year I had 708.8. . . ooh! My brain hurts. ~Hannah PS: I went to visit my grandparents yesterday. I was there all day, and there was some sort of prowler, a young black man, about twenty-five, who kept walking around the block, scoping things out, and looking suspicious. My Grandma locked all her doors when we left at 7:40 PM. My Papa, who's a smoker and who goes outside at all hours of the night to smoke, probably brought a baseball bat outside with him. Oh, well. Bye!

Oh yes. . . I am so good. Too good. . . or am I? BWAHAHAHAHAHA! I'm sorry. I couldn't resist. This whole post is just an excuse to have some evil laughing time. It's 7:59 AM and I am wide awake! ~Hannah

I hate Hannah Montana. That show is so stupid! I watched five minutes of one episode, and I thought I was going to throw up. The show gives all us Hannahs a bad name-- literally. Almost every stupid, annoying little kid I've met in the past six months has called me Hannah Montana. I hate Hannah Montana!!!!!!

My mother just came back from a stupid parent conference. This may sound bad, but I'm glad she came back so soon-- I often get creeped out alone in my old house. . . My grades are. . . uh. . . well, not to sound like I'm bragging, but they're really good. I'm happy with my schoolwork (except in English class. . . it's WAY TOO EASY!) I have a 100 average in Social Studies! I would have a 110, but that's impossible. Why, you ask? On the last big test we took, our Social Studies Civil War test, I made a 100. But, my extra-credit paragraph, according to my teacher, deserved ten extra points. She read Katy's and mine out loud. In her words, "Katy's was basically a summary of the whole thing, while Hannah's was very detailed." Katy and I agree on one thing: She still could have given us those extra 10 points. It would have boosted our GPAs majorly! Oh, well. Au revoir! ~Hannah

Whoo-hoo! I went to see my grandparents yesterday, and my Grandma gave me like 300 pop-tabs! Yes! ~Hannah PS: I wanted to go see Madalyn, my baby cousin, yesterday, but she had a stomach virus. Poor kid. She just got tubes put in her ears (I had tubes too, so it must run in the family) for her ear infections (join the club, kid!) and now she's already got stomach problems.

Today, I brought in my total of 204 pop-tabs. . . and I was the first and only one in our class! Katy wrote my name down on a sheet and poured my pop-tabs into our large, gallon-sized bag. (Did I mention Katy got a haircut? It is tres cute!) I hope we win Club of the Year. But if Mrs. Leggett's class or Mrs. Nelson's class wins, it won't be so bad, since my two close friends are in those classes. (Alyssa's in Nelson's, and Amy's in Leggett's.) But Mrs. Roberts told our class something that scared me. After embarrassing me in front of the class by holding up the gallon bag (there was about an inch's worth of pop-tabs) and telling the class that I'd brought it in (my family's been saving that for almost the entire year of 2007! Now I feel like a sodaholic), she said, "But the deadline for bringing in pop-tabs is September 25th, so you don't have much time. A girl in Mrs. Leggett's class has brought in three full gallon-sized bags of these, so that's 300 points already." At first I thought it was Amy, but I read her comment on her blog saying she had about 100. Either the girl who brought them in (if Mrs. Roberts was right) is a total sodaholic or she's been saving for three years or so! I've really gotta start collecting. I hope I don't get permanent sugar rush from drinking Coke and Dr. Pepper like a maniac!

On Friday, September 14th, my class had our first 4-H meeting for the year. I'm Reporter, so I got to sit up in the council seats. The council seats are really just a row of desks up at the front of the room. People really sit in them, though. Katy, our President, sits in one of them, (the second) so she sat in the second seat, by me. The order was like this: Saundra (Vice-President), Katy (President), me (Reporter. I took notes. Plus, I finished my report by the end of the meeting, so Mrs. Lee Anna, our leader, gave me a clover coupon and twenty points!), Hunter H. (Secretary. She has to take notes, but she doesn't write reports), and Breanna, the Parliamentarian. Breanna has the easiest job. All she has to do is read the Thought for the Day and pass out papers. (Yes, all girls. And not trying to be racist, but all Caucasian. Just saying.) I'm kind of lucky to sit by the President on the council seat. Every time Katy isn't pleased with something, Saundra and I are the first to know. Either she holds up a paper in front of her face and whispers to us (the paper is so nobody can read our lips, in case it's something secretive) or we tell by her expression. Katy can earn us unlimited points. Saundra, our VP, can earn us up to 150 points per meeting, depending on how well she does. She's in charge of the meeting if Katy's absent (but Mrs. Lee Anna guides us. She's from the 4-H Program of Bulloch County, where I live). She also maintains the sign-up sheet. That means if anyone wants to do a project presentation, they go to her and sign up on the sign-up sheet. We're only allowed five demonstrations per meeting, and they're only supposed to be two minutes long or less. Technically, it's better if we only have one or two, but Saundra is advised by Mrs. Lee Anna to keep a waiting list. . . just in case. Me, you ask? I'm in charge of about 40 points per meeting. I write reports. If I turn in my report before Mrs. Lee Anna leaves, we get like twenty-five points. I also post the time and date of our next meeting on the 4-H board. (Katy posts her own notices, though.) My reports go into the monthly newsletter. Hunter H. is in charge of taking notes on how long the meeting is. Breanna passes out papers and reads the thought for the day (or comes up with her own). Three guests came to watch the meeting. My father came, Saundra's mother, and another kid's mom. Each visitor is worth 25 points, and all together, that's 75 points right off! Whoo-hoo! Plus, many people earned clover coupons, which are little green pieces of paper which can be used to cash in for prizes. We're in charge of keeping our own, though. I'm writing my name in pen or marker, because if I do it in pencil, someone can easily steal it and erase my name. But hey, you never know-- I've had pencils and pens stolen before, which you can just go to Walmart and get more of. . . there's no backup clover coupons! Did you know 4-H was invented in Atlanta, Georgia, over 100 years ago? We read and talked about that in our Friends Magazines. (If people do all the activities in the magazine, we get bunches of points!) The first 4-H club for boys was called the Boy's Corn Club and for girls it was the Girl's Tomato Canning Club. It may sound stupid now, but back then Georgia was almost completely agricultural, so the clubs were formed to teach children about their future careers. For boys, it was most likely farming. For girls, it was homemaking, taking care of children, and being a farmer's wife. 4-H is also an extension of the University of Georgia, which is where I plan to go to college. Speaking of UGA, I went to the UGA game yesterday. We beat Western Carolina, whoo-hoo! I better go. My mom is nagging me and I have to take a shower. Plus it's 9:04 AM where I live, and we're going to Savannah today. See you around! ~Hannah, 4-H Reporter PS: We're collecting pop-tabs off of soda cans this month. They will be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. My family already collects them to donate, so we've got tons of them. I'm going to do as much as I can because my Aunt Fran, Uncle Bill, and cousin Alex stayed in the Ronald McDonald House before, while my cousin Meredith was undergoing chemo-therapy for her leukemia. Don't worry, she's been over it a long time. I'm going to count up my total pop-tabs ASAP. Even though we get points on how full the bag is, not how many pop-tabs we have, I'll feel more comfortable knowing my over all total. Crap. Now I really have to go. Bye!

Ever heard of Accelerated Math? Well, if you haven't, you are so LUCKY! It sucks. It's basically just extra math work that you HAVE to do, no matter what. My first encounter with a stupid person today was with Ryan White. He took my Accelerated Math paper (apparently he couldn't see the words in bold print at the top that said MY NAME!) and did my work and scanned it! Ordinarily this would kind of please me, so I wouldn't have to do it myself, but he made a 64 on it!!!!! OH MY GOD! But luckily, Mrs. Roberts said it wouldn't count against me. My second encounter was with a girl named Breanna and another girl named Hunter. (Hunter is our class 4-H Secretary, and Breanna is the Parliamentarian. Speaking of which, our first 4-H meeting is tomorrow! I'm so excited!!!). We were playing limbo using a jump rope. Well, Breanna all of a sudden started screeching, "HANNAH'S HEAD TOUCHED THE ROPE!" Luckily, someone unexpected came to my defense-- Paxton, surprisingly, but hey, I wasn't complaining! So Breanna and her prissy little friend Hunter left us alone and walked away (a smart move, too, because I had three witnesses!) My third encounter was with a girl on my bus named Kaitlyn (but we all call her KK.) We had a substitute bus driver, and I am the bus helper. Luckily, I knew the substitute, so I felt comfortable. Mrs. Sherrie (that's her name) asked me which way to go next, but KK butted in. She started squawking, "Oooh, I know the way!" OMG! No she did not! And I told her off too, but of course she had to say, "You think you know everything!" but Mrs. Sherrie told her off. I was so glad when we finally dropped her off! I better wrap this up fast-- it is thundering and raining like the bottom is falling out of the sky, and I don't want to lose any of this. But honestly, like my friend Haley says, "Their mama must've dropped them on their head a couple times when they were babies, then fed 'em a can of retarded-juice. Then dropped them in a pool and after a few minutes said, 'Aw, poor little retarded baby, I better save him.'" *I mean retarded as a stupid person.*

Ahhh! Time really DOES fly when you're having fun! It seems like my birthday barely lasted five seconds! *sobs* But my gifts were awesome! Here is a list of them all (I may have forgotten one or two, so sorry!) 1. My new hot-pink MP3/MP4 (yes, they do make those!) player! 2. A pack of totally cool pencils and pens (they're really neat, and totally pratical. Plus they have cool designs on them!) 3. The game Apples to Apples, my favorite game! 4. The new Hilary Duff CD, 'Dignity'. I'm listening to it now, and it rocks! 5. A total of about $50! 6. The new Plain White T's cd, 'Hey There Delilah'. It also rocks! 7. A new video game, Tak and the JuJu Challenge, for my XBOX. 8. A coffee mug with my name on it. I'm a little young for it, but I love it! 9. A game called Dream Life: Superstar. I told my parents I wanted the game called Dream Life, but they got a different one. But we sent the other back and ordered the one I wanted from Target. It will be here in 3-5 days. 10. My very first pair of pink Chuck Taylor Converse! Not just some cheap fake-out, but the real deal! We got it from www.converse.com, and it will be here sometime next week or so. They're just plain pink. I wanted a pair with a design, but they didn't have my size. My Converse size is 6.5 (they use a different method of sizing.) 11. Tons of cards and one E-card. 12. My new purse from Amy! It's so cute. I love it! 13. My birthday cake (yum). And I did get a small party with my Aunt Marilyn, Aunt Amber, Uncle Jeremy, baby cousin Madalyn, mom, dad, Papa, and Grandma. We went to eat at Shoney's. They have a crane machine there that is almost impossible to beat-- I GOT SOMETHING ON MY FIRST TRY! It was a little princess doll. Madalyn wasn't feeling good, and I'm too old for it, so I gave it to her. (Hey, it only cost me 50 cents and it seemed to cheer her up a little. She's only seven months old, so all she wanted to do was chew on it with her one tiny little tooth!) Although I gave it to her on one condition-- the doll's name is Queen Hannah! (Ha. How mean of me. But I don't care. I feel so. . . royal! HA!)
