Yeppers, I'll be going to California on the 15th of August and won't be back til the 26th. That sorta explains my absense from NewBlog this past week. The other reason would have to be me, helping my friend upload some stuff onto the net. I was downloading all day. -.-
My grandmother also had me watch some Vietnamese dramas. They're pretty cool with all the fighting and stuff. ^^ I was watching, Tuyet Hoa Than Kiem (The Snow is Red) and Bao Cong (Justice Pao).
Another thing I was downloading were theme songs. Whenever I watch somethingand hear music I like, I'll go all out just to get it. My favorite search engine for finding music would have to be DogPile. I recommend it to anyone trying to find that impossible-to-find-elsewhere tune. ^^
Enjoy what's left of summer and I'll get back to you guys on the 26th! ^_~

Graphic Design: Even more stuff recently made by yours truly ^^

This little baby took me about one hour to make so you better like it. xP J/K You don't have to like it if you don't wanna. ^^
So... what I started to do first is find which image I was going to use. Of course I had no idea at the time. xD I just knew that I wanted to make a bloggish image of some sort. Anyway, the image I ended up choosing was this one (girl in image). Of course I had many other great images but, I wanted to see what I could do with this one. ^^
Now the background was among three others that I had bookmarked the night before as I was browsing through some Photoshop tutorials, thinking they looked cool. xD I went with this one. I made a few of my own adjustments to what the person did and added a few extra steps and voila! Pretty pink background (and a bit blinding too if I may add, especially if you're in a dark room. 0.o)
Next was easy peesy! x3 Well... a bit time consuming but, still easy peesy. The textarea where the text is suppose to go (obviously) was a white block at first then I erased around the edges with a brush to make a sort of, grunge effect. Basically what I was aiming for a faded out effect but, this suited it perfectly. ^^ The little borders you see in the top-left and bottom-right corners, were the time consumers. -.- I had to make each separate little box, one at a time, and move them in position. xP I wanted to give up by the 15th box but, I somehow managed, and even made it look good.
Text is always an issue for me... I can never figure out what to say and when I do, it's always something cheesy or totally irrelevant. >.< Well, I hope it turns out OK this time. xP
Okay, so that's version 'P' as I like to call it. Here is version 'E':
It's called version 'E' for obvious reasons. ^^ The same background was used, the same white box, box border... The only things different would have to be the colour, the girl, and the text. Also, I've added a 'Lens Flare' filter to her staff. Blue is one of my favorite colours so I tend to use it a lot in what graphic designing I'm doing.
So, which one do you like the mosty-most? ^^ I'm always open to criticism/comments/questions.

Well, well, well... What should I put for my first blog entry?...
That's what I did today. ^^ If you compare that to my very first works, you'd be as impressed as I am. My friends say I'm a pro at graphic design but, believe it or not, this is just amateur work. I've seen people do lots more fancy stuff.
I was searching all over the net for anime renders that I could use. This is the first time using renders but I gotta say, I'll start using them more often from now on. ^^ A render is an image with no background so when you open it in Photoshop or any art program, you will get transparent boxes as the background. So, I found a few sites that have some renders for people to use. I now have quite a collection in a folder on my computer. I might not use most of them but, they were pretty so I downloaded 'em. ^^
After getting my renders all organised, I opened up Photoshop and started to work my magic. xD Well... not -immediately-. I first had to think of what I wanted to do. It's not an easy task. I wanted to do something that I've never done before so, I began playing around with gradients and such, messing around with the settings until I came across a neat effect.
If you use the gradient tool in Photoshop with the mode on 'Difference' and start randomly dragging, you get a cool effect (the background in the sig). Of course, then you can add colour to it to make it look even better. ^^
Okay, so now, the border... At first, I thought of having a simple black line around my image but, I just wanted something more dynamic, hence, the border you see now.
So there ends my wonderful little siggy I finished in under 2 hours. ^^ You'd think it's something hard to do but, when you look at the Photoshop file it's all simple layers.
