Hey to everyone, I'm back on line and you better watch what you say and do... Uniepoo is watching you! I had a bug in my pc and I have no idea where it came from. I have all kinds of protection. Did My Buddy Brian or Misty tell you all that I would be off? Or did Brian just take pics of himself ( The handsome devil) and show you all how fine he looks? hehe. Hope everyone is well and happy. This is a lot of the problem in the housing market. The overseers of the financial committee in Congress are more interested in getting their favors than doing the right thing....BE SURE TO READ Dodd's STATEMENT.. Talk about double talk!

After reports emerged in June about him having received favorable treatment on two home mortgages from the Countrywide Financial Corporation, Senator Christopher Dodd, a Democrat from Connecticut, promised that he would release documents to support his contention that he never benefited financially from the terms of the loans.
The senator has failed to keep his promise, and his excuses are wearing ridiculously thin.
“I think it will become obvious at the time when it’s the right time, and I’ll explain that at the time when I do so,” Mr. Dodd said last week after a speech in Norwich, Conn., according to The Hartford Courant.
When asked to elaborate, he said: “My answer is what it is, and in the right time, it will be there.”
Mr. Dodd’s original explanation for the loans were not much of an improvement, frankly. He says he knew he was on a V.I.P. list at Countrywide, once the nation’s largest mortgage lender and one of the early casualties of the financial collapse — and now the target of dozens of lawsuits over predatory lending. But he said he did not “seek or expect” preferential treatment, which has left everyone wondering what exactly the V.I.P. list was for.
Meanwhile, Mr. Dodd continues to serve as chairman of the Senate banking committee. He has been a member of the committee for much of his 28 years in the Senate. He is a leader in shaping legislation that will bail out the mortgage industry, which has given him generous campaign support over the years, particularly during his recent, unsuccessful campaign for president.
According to company e-mails unearthed and reported by Portfolio.com, Countrywide waived fees and provided mortgages at discounted rates when Mr. Dodd refinanced his homes in the District of Columbia and Connecticut. The favorable treatment could save him thousands of dollars over the course of the loans.
The Senate Ethics Committee is investigating whether the terms of the loans violated its rules on disclosing gifts. But such an investigation does not preclude Mr. Dodd from being candid.
Mr. Dodd admits he was extended “courtesies” by Countrywide. It’s time for him to extend some courtesy to his constituents and the rest of the nation and release the records on the mortgages, without delay.

As the title says, this is not my usual type of post. I have been thinking about the Billions of dollars that Congress is giving to the people in the banks . Mainly, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac......Why should we have to pay for the stupidness and Greediness of CEOs and Congress? Especially , Barney Frank, who is the person that was supposed to be watching over this institutions ... Of Course, his lover of eight years , was a high ranking man in Fannie Mae. hmmm. The year after Frank took over Fannie Mae bought $ 1 trillion in bad loans. Then, GUESS WHAT? Our Great speaker ..., yep, none other than Mrs. Pelosi said that's ok, we'll just leave him in that position, (Remember now, this is the woman that published a book called "KNOW YOUR POWER") After FM and FM collapsed she still left him there.Isn't that a clue of how she runs our Congress.
Ms. Pelosi loves to use her power.
The CEO of Merrill Lynch, was CEO for 17 days and was issued $17,000,000 ( that was $1,000,000 per day, people) Some of Congress have tried for years to get her to regulate these institutions , But as everything else that she didn't like.. she would not even put the bill on the floor to be voted upon.. She Knows HER Power alright.
Back to the banks... When I was old enough to work, I worked.. If I borrowed money, I had to pay it back. I have owned several houses in my lifetime, but if I had missed a payment, Do you think The Gov, would have bailed me out?.... I THINK NOT!!!
If you make a debt you pay it... If you can afford it, don't buy it...You Live on your income!!
I get angry when I hear someone say these people were conned into buying a house they couldn't afford. I say to them .."Bull - - - -!" If you are working at Wal-mart part-time , you know you can't afford a $150,000 house..
It seems that these days, a huge amount of Americans think they are "entitled" to the lifestyle that other people have...But ,don't realize that these people worked and struggled to get the things they have...nothing is free these days,,...Oh, SORRY, yes it is..... or so it seems that these Americans are crying to the Government and the rest of the country will just go in and save them.. It doesn't matter that they shouldn't have signed their name on the dotted line in the first place... They deserve it, they think.
Dems or Repubs... I think that if we have either one controlling the White House and The Congress... We are in DEEP DOO DOO, People!

I've been getting some questions about my nephew Jesse who many of you know from his blogging here. Yesterday afternoon, Jesse took his own life. I and the rest of the family were completely shocked. I had just talked to him yesterday and while I knew he was having struggles with his faith, I had no idea that it ran that deep.
Those of you who got to know Jesse know that he was smart, easy going, and, of course, loved to blog a lot. To me, he was like a little brother. We both loved to play video games and to debate the heck out of each other on here. We lived on opposite sides of the U.S. (he in upstate NY and myself in Central Florida), but he never felt too far away.
There are not enough words to describe how devastated I am at his loss. I know that some of you got to know him pretty well and (since I already started getting some questions about him) felt that you all should know that he is no longer with us.
Jesse - If you still keep up with your blog from heaven, please know that we all miss you very much!

Ok, The Fool is me!!!
We went out to eat tonight at this little Dairy Dream in our small town. When we finished and got up to leave I decided I wanted an ice cream cone. So I got up to get one and Hubby takes the tray of trash , dumps it. and is waiting by the door,,,, So Dumbo that I am, I get my change and my cone and I go over and we get in the car and we leave.... We are on our way to Walmart to pick up a few things and I reach for my purse......It's not there!!!! Panic Time! Hubby hurriedly turns the car around and we race back to DD .. I jump out and run in....No purse ..Run to the counter... no ma'am, no one turned it in... the people that were sitting where we were spoke up and said .... some people were just leaving these seats when we got here.... Jump in the car ...run to the police station... fill out a report. (try to remember all that was in Purse). Go to stores where I have credit cards and ask them to please notify cashier that purse was lost and do not take c,cards on me till further notice. Run across town to Walmart ... Talk to the register supervisor ,,, she writes out slips to put on register to not take c..card until further notice. ... helped her make out slips to put on registers., pick up what I needed.. jump in car and return home....listening to Hubby rake me all the way home.. Trying not to cry.. head pounding , and getting madder all the while(at myself,of course).Told Hubby I've heard enough now... Finally, I make it in the garage and unload packages ... Message light blinking on phone... Pick it up and it's my cell phone ##. (it was in purse) A young Man had picked up my purse and wanted to return it...... He finally took it to the police station. The phone rang and it was the police, telling me to come pick up my purse...... I had no money in the purse(never carry money since I got mugged).... My questions about all this are:
1. Why didn't he just turn it in to the people in the DDream?
2. Did he think it might have money and when it didn't, was he afraid someone saw him?
3. Did he think about taking it and then his conscience made him turn it in.
Whatever the reason that made him pick it up and walk out with it, I'm very grateful that he did the right thing eventually.
It really doesn't matter to me.. I just feel very thankful and blessed whatever the reason that he returned it .
My Grandma used to tell us, "The Good Lord looks after Fools and Children." He surely looked after a fool today. This is one of the stupidest things I've ever done and I have done some stupid things in my life, Believe me!!
Now, T'm taking more Advil and going to try to relax and go to bed...... Have a Wonderful Sunday everyone,,.... I will now!!!
