It is amazing how we sit and judge people, who do more than they are expected, as though they are some sort of pariah. Those of us that do merely what is expected of us survive by playing the spin game; convincing our superiors of all the good deeds we do when we are not doing shit. Our guilt at doing the minimum, or less, is rectified by looking for faults with those that actually are contributing. Right now I am basically fucking off, watching people on closed circuit television. One of my co-workers has been showing more concern for a patient than the nurses are. He does this, though our superiors tell him not to and ridicule his initiative. Like a hypocrite and a person interested in keeping my job secure, I nod in agreement when they talk shit. But deep down I know they are essentially lazy bastards. This is a lot of how American society works. The Rush Limbaugh crowd would have one believe that as long as one works hard, you are duly rewarded. This is bullshit and basically “American Dream” propaganda as it is nepotism and cronyism that gets one further in this country. Unless an individual has an amazing stroke of luck, simple hard work is insufficient. For the most part, it is dog eat dog and screw your neighbor before he screws you to survive. It is such a shame as quite often it is merely the most politically astute people that get ahead as opposed to the most competent. How we Americans love our asses being kissed !!!!! So to the right wing conservative, they may say how much I need to get off of my ass and get away from the sour grapes as my plight is my own fucking fault. It is my fault for not being more hip to the game at an earlier age. There are a lot of times in my life where sheer ruthlessness may have gotten me ahead. But bootlicking is still the order of the day, as opposed to competence like right wingers think. Sometimes I wish I were more ruthless and conniving. But that is just bad karma to screw people over.

Why do people look for the worst in others When they should just not even bother Our world of double standards Morality is just flowery words Utterances from the pulpit Fragments of utopian bullshit Humans desecrated the dream Of how things could really be The threshold of immortality Held in check by theocracy We could have a universe of possibilities Instead of global rivalries A new age of man awaits Where there are no disputes based on race Why not let go of all the hatred and fear Worrying how others appear For these are all trivial things But they are obsessions to human beings Prevent us from being free Within the mind there is slavery Thoughts of tyrannical deities Who manipulate all shape of belief Do the answers lay in the past Is it up to each to choose their own path We shall see
