Rap is HipHop , This is for those who say there isn't Rap -

Somebody told me that there wasn't a thang called Rap and that it was only hiphop , And they didn't know what the hell, Bling mean , Or any Gangster words i say , Its was like i was talking to a wall, It was like I was talking in some kind of weird english to them , - so i had to tell them something about what i know , I didn't even learn this in school , I got it from the Streets , ( they was so school Brain wash they didn't even know that that meant) With its supercharged rhythms, rap took the world by storm in the late 1970s and led to the cultural phenomenon known as hip hop. The music had its roots in Jamaican “toasting,” R&B and funk, but it was essentially music of the streets, a passionate outcry from inner city youth about their bleak lives.
