Iron Casting such as Ductile Iron Casting,Grey Iron Casting usually refers to grey cast iron, but identifies a large group of ferrous alloys, which solidify with a eutectic. The color of a fractured surface can be used to identify an alloy. White cast iron is named after its white surface when fractured due to its carbide impurities which allow cracks to pass straight through. Grey cast iron is named after its grey fractured surface, which occurs because the graphitic flakes deflect a passing crack and initiate countless new cracks as the material breaks. Iron (Fe) accounts for more than 95 %wt of the alloy material, while the main alloying elements are carbon (C) and silicon (Si). The amount of carbon in cast irons is 2.1-4 %wt. Cast irons contain appreciable amounts of silicon, normally 1-3 %wt, and consequently these alloys should be considered ternary Fe-C-Si alloys. Despite this, the principles of cast iron solidification are understood from the binary iron-carbon phase diagram, where the eutectic point lies at 1154 ‘γC and 4.3 wt% carbon. Since cast iron has nearly this composition, its melting temperature of 1150 to 1200 ‘γC is about 300 ‘γC lower than the melting point of pure iron. Cast iron such as Ductile Iron Casting,Grey Iron Casting tends to be brittle, except for malleable cast irons. With its low melting point, good fluidity, castability, excellent machinability and wear resistance, cast irons have become an engineering material with a wide range of applications, including pipes, machine and car parts.

iron casting MacKenzie in his l944 Howe Memorial Lecture referred to cast iron as "steel plus graphite." Although this simple definition still applies, the properties of gray iron are affected by the amount of graphite present as well as the shape, size, and distribution of the graphite flakes. Although the matrix resembles steel, the silicon content is generally higher than for cast steels, and the higher silicon content together with cooling rate influences the amount of carbon in the matrix. Gray iron belongs to a family of high-carbon silicon alloys which include malleable and nodular irons. With the exception of magnesium or other nodularizing elements in nodular iron, it is possible through variations in melting and foundry practice to produce all three materials from the same composition. In spite of the widespread use of gray iron, the metallurgy of it is not clearly understood by many users and even producers of the material. One of the first and most complete discussions of the mechanism of solidification of cast irons was presented in 1946 by Boyles. Detailed discussions of the metallurgy of gray iron may be found in readily available handbooks. The most recent review of cast iron metallurgy and the formation of graphite is one by Wieser et all. 不错，windows live是个好东西：1、messenger 8.5，把我的beta正式了 2、live writer，写space更方便了 3、live 照片库，传图到space更方便了 4、live mail，无outlook者收发hotmail更方便了（除outlook使用者） 5、live home，就链接到一个整合提醒的页面，其中space部分类似facebook，看好友博客更新和新评论更方便了 web plus client是个趋势，但也不是什么新鲜事了，大点的网站都有过尝试，但普及成功的却是不多。 成功的：tudou+播放加速器、迅雷+p2p，百度雅虎谷歌+toolbar，阿里淘宝+im。 我电脑里就这些，别的也用过一些，但大都不用卸载了。 包括：新浪的rss点点通，网易泡泡，中国博客网的blog客户端（别的好像记不得了）。卸载的原因有很多，体验不好，和其它软件重复等，但主要原因应该是不实用。 我想web+client最大的作用在于：1.增强web平台的黏度，利用客户端的排他特性促进市占 2.利用client特性互补web服务（如迅雷p2p干掉了传统下载工具、淘宝im帮忙干掉了易趣）。 （有意思的是，搜索+输入法是个异类，作用还不太看不清，就增进搜索份额貌似没有直接作用，得再想想。。。） 其实w+c应用还有很大的想象空间，无论是w2c（网站开拓桌面）还是c2w（桌面开拓网站）。 先说w2c：新浪们应该找到更好的客户端体验模式，百度们应该通过客户端创造更多互动（可能是未来小生吧），和讯们应把曲线和社区整合的更好些吧，猫扑们开个板块聊天室吧。。 再说c2w：智能手机工作室们搞图铃文软社区吧，优化大师们搞软件百科+互助社区吧，输入法们搞综合搜索吧。。。别的都是小东西，其实最值得关注的是遨游，号称3000万用户，百度的最大外力，这玩意儿的能量绝对不可小视，几乎四通八达。而我最看好的是它进入广告市场，但原因此处不详述了。 总而言之，对于成熟的w和c而言，跨到另一端是毫无争议的重要战略方向。对于还未规划或还未行动的wc来说，一句话：机不可失，时不再来。 宁波网站建设，宁波网站制作，宁波seo，google 推广，goolge优化，宁波网络公司

A ball valve (like the butterfly valve, one of a family of valves called quarter turn valves) is a valve that opens by turning a handle attached to a ball inside the valve. The ball has a hole, or port, through the middle so that when the port is in line with both ends of the valve, flow will occur. When the valve is closed, the hole is perpendicular to the ends of the valve, and flow is blocked. The handle position lets you "see" the valve's position.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - A U.S. federal court judge on Wednesday blocked a key part of the Bush administration's stepped-up efforts to crack down on illegal immigrant workers and those who employ them.ADVERTISEMENT Judge Charles Breyer of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted a preliminary injunction against a program that would force employers to verify Social Security numbers and fire workers whose numbers did not match official records. The federal program developed by the Department of Homeland Security is at the heart of a new crackdown on the estimated 12 million illegal immigrants in the country, after Congress failed to pass comprehensive immigration reform. But the "no-match letter" program was challenged in a lawsuit by the American Civil Liberties Union, the AFL-CIO and other labor groups claiming it was unlawful and hurt all workers, including legal ones affected by errors in the data base. "The balance of hardships tips sharply in plaintiffs' favor and plaintiffs have raised serious questions," Breyer said in his ruling. Breyer still has to rule on a permanent injunction, but workers' rights groups celebrated Wednesday's decision. "This was really about targeting workers rights generally," said Ana Avendano, director of immigrant programs at the AFL-CIO. "The win is about preventing the Bush administration from causing further harm to workers in this country." White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said the administration was disappointed with the ruling and added: "Coupled with the near daily stories about local communities taking immigration matters into their own hands, this ruling serves as another reminder that Congress needs to enact comprehensive immigration reform to establish a system that is secure, productive, orderly and fair." Breyer had already blocked the Social Security Administration from sending out 140,000 letters to employers with 8 million employees whose names did not match their nine-digit identification numbers. APPEAL POSSIBLE Under the proposed program, employers notified of a "no-match" would have 90 days to confirm that an employee was in the country legally or fire him if not. Employers also could face fines as well as criminal charges if they did not comply with the program. The judge also said the threat of a criminal prosecution against an employer "reflects a major change in Department of Homeland Security policy." Mailing out new no-match letters to employers "would result in irreparable harm to innocent workers and employers," Breyer wrote. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff, in a statement, defended the program as giving employers "clear guidance" if they receive a no-match letter for an employee. He said the department was reviewing Breyer's decision with the Justice Department to "examine all of our options, including appeal." The judge told the parties in the case to prepare and submit proposals by October 12 for a hearing to reach a final decision. President George W. Recently, he scolded Wall Street executives for focusing too much on their own success and not enough on what's good for the whole nation. And he called for tax cuts for the working poor. "I didn't just discover working folks on the campaign trail. That's what I've been doing my entire adult life," he told union members Tuesday as he recounted his experience as a community organizer and civil rights attorney. Obama's own success allowed him to buy a $1.65 million mansion near the University of Chicago in 2005. Political insider Antoin "Tony" Rezko, who was under federal investigation, bought the vacant lot next door and sold part of it to Obama, giving the senator more space. There has been no suggestion that the arrangement was illegal. Obama paid Rezko for the extra space. But Obama has since said it was a mistake to do business with Rezko, who was indicted last year on charges he sought kickbacks from companies doing business with an Illinois state pension fund. Rezko and his companies contributed nearly $20,000 to Obama's state and federal races. Obama now has donated that amount to charity. When he entered the U.S. Senate in 2005, Obama's salary jumped to more than $154,000 nearly triple what he had been making as an Illinois legislator. His sudden political stardom also brought him a three-book deal worth $1.9 million from Random House Inc. The deal includes a children's book, and Obama says he'll give $200,000 from that book to charity. His contract gives Obama 15 percent of the sale of each hardcover book, 8 percent or more from paperbacks and 10 percent from audiobooks. His first book under the deal, "The Audacity of Hope," has sold more than 1 million copies since it was released nearly a year ago. After Obama was elected to the Senate, his wife's income tripled thanks to a promotion she received at the University of Chicago Hospitals. When Michelle Obama rose from executive director to vice president, her salary increased from $121,910 to $316,962. Obama says his wife's promotion was based on her merits she's a Harvard Law School graduate and not on his Senate victory. "You can't fault her for being smarter and better qualified for all sorts of jobs than I am," he said last year. Mrs. Obama was also elected to the board of directors of an Illinois-based food supplier called TreeHouse Foods. For that, she was paid about $45,000 in 2005 and $51,000 in 2006. But Wal-Mart is a major TreeHouse customer, and her husband has criticized the wages and benefits that Wal-Mart provides its workers. Mrs. Obama resigned from the TreeHouse board in May, citing the increasing demands of the presidential campaign, and she has also scaled back her hours for the university hospital system. The government disclosure reports Obama has filed over the years, and the tax returns he has released voluntarily, reveal a relatively uncomplicated financial picture. He has made money as a legislator, lawyer and lecturer at the University of Chicago. She has worked for the university and its hospital system and for TreeHouse. Their assets which are between $457,000 and $1.14 million are mostly in mutual funds and pensions. That's paltry compared with some other presidential candidates. Democrats John Edwards and Hillary Rodham Clinton and Republican Rudy Giuliani are all worth tens of millions of dollars. Republican Mitt Romney is the wealthiest candidate in the race, reporting assets of between $190 million and $250 million. Voters rarely seem concerned about whether a candidate is filthy rich or merely wealthy. Matt Bennett, who has worked on several Democratic presidential campaigns, said the main exception would if voters saw hypocrisy a candidate talking like a blue-collar worker but spending like a movie star, for instance. "They expect that their leaders are going to be well off, and for most people the difference between having a net worth of $1 million and $20 million is basically irrelevant," Bennett said. Still, Obama's money is enough to raise occasional complications. In 2005, Obama's broker invested more than $50,000 in two companies backed by some of his top campaign donors. Obama denied knowing anything about the investments, on which he lost about $13,000, and there was no evidence that he used his office to help the companies. Ronald Powell, president of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 881 in Illinois, isn't interested in Obama's finances. What matters, he said, is that Obama has a record of working directly with poor families that wanted better lives. "He worked the street. He knocked on doors," Powell said. "He speaks from personal experience."

WASHINGTON - President Bush on Saturday signed a bill to prevent a government shutdown, but not without complaint. Bush lambasted the Democrats who control Congress for sending him the stopgap measure while they continue to work on more than a dozen spending bills funding the day-to-day operations of 15 Cabinet departments. ADVERTISEMENT "Congress failed in its most basic responsibility," the president said in his weekly radio address. The bills are tied up because Democrats want to add $23 billion for domestic programs to Bush's $933 billion request for the approximately one-third of the federal budget funded by the yearly spending bills. Bush has threatened vetoes on most of the bills, eager to re-establish his party's reputation as the place to go for fiscal discipline. The president said Democrats are planning the "biggest tax increase in American history" to pay for the new spending. "Earlier this year congressional leaders promised to show that they could be responsible with the people's money," he said. "Unfortunately they seem to have chosen the path of higher spending." Democrats say their spending add-ons are relatively modest given the overall size of the budget and in comparison with Bush's pending $189 billion request for Pentagon operations in Iraq and Afghanistan in 2008. And most of the additional money, Democrats say, simply restores cuts proposed by Bush to popular programs such as community development grants, health research and anti-crime initiatives. The new fiscal year begins Monday, and something had to be done before then or the government's authority to spend money would run out. While calling this situation "disappointing," Bush extended a bit of an olive branch to Congress. He expressed his thanks that lawmakers passed a clean temporary measure with no new spending or policies, and that the measure does the same for a popular health insurance program covering children from low-income families. That program also is the subject of veto showdown between the president and the Democratic majority on Capitol Hill. The stopgap spending bill will keep Cabinet departments running at current levels through mid-November, extend financing for the children's insurance program, and dip deeply into a $70 billion fund for Pentagon operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Such stopgap funding bills are routine and have been needed every year since 1994. But for the first time in five years, not one of the 12 annual appropriations bills have become law by the Oct. 1 deadline. The children's insurance program now covers 6.6 million children from modest-income families not poor enough to qualify for Medicaid. Democrats, with significant support from Republicans, want to expand it. Their plan would add $35 billion, funded by new tobacco taxes. Analysts say the legislation would allow about 4 million of the estimated 9 million uninsured children in the United States gain coverage. Democrats enlisted a 12-year-old boy to promote the program during the party's weekly radio address Saturday. Graeme Frost, of Baltimore, suffered severe brain damage in a car accident three years ago.
