For some of you, you may only know the internet for MySpace or Xanga or AOL (God forbid.) But back in the day before the internet as we know it today, there were bulletin board systems. (BBS) You used to have to dial in to someone elses computer and basically what content you got to read or view was at the discretion of the system operator. (SYSOP) Some BBSes were simple with only one or two lines able to be dialed into. Some were more complex with several users being able to log in simultaneously. You could chat, send e-mail, play text or ascii based games on the BBS. For us old fogeys who remember these days and play with myspace today, we should be thankful for all it has brought us. We should also hate it because once we were an elite few techno-geeks who had access to this whole other world. Now my 4 year old has an email address and a cell phone... Oh well....times have changed, anyone remember Red Dragon? No? Ok, I'm going to go play World of Warcraft now. - KMD
