Spoils of War (Err, holidays)
Posted 12/27/2005 9:32:31 AM Yeah, santa was good to me. Santa and my mom were super-good. Main things: yamaha guitar (need to learn how to play it) ipod video (60 gig, it's really cool) RAZR World of Warcraft (
Im so Lucky
Posted 12/24/2005 5:26:30 PM This morning I was on my computer when i heard a weird ringtone coming from my mom's purse. I looked in and saw a RAZR phone. We had been talking about getting 2 of these (both of our phones chose to die) So, I asked my mom what this was, holding the phone and she said "how'd you find it?" i explained, and she brought a box out from the garage, a black razr. :) i love this thing, the camera, the external display, everything. It's pretty cool. here's its first picture: that's my cat :)
Success
Posted 12/22/2005 5:27:09 PM Children in my neighborhood will have a merry christmas now. Im going to need to find a way to give some of this money out (I may end up giving it to a local organization). Anyone know a really good charity? I actually feel pretty good about this. I took from the rich and gave to the poor. I thought I'd feel guilty, but I feel I'm helping society.

Posted 12/22/2005 9:24:23 AM http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=8245246261&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT Let me explain first. I got to thinking, after my mom saw this guy near us who gave us our credit card when we dropped it (almost homeless guy) that some people really need some more money. So, an idea came to mind. Take from the stupid rich, and give to the kind poor! Where do you go to find stupid rich people? EBAY! And the auction started. I got about 30 messages, some making sure it was just a pciture (told them) and some cursing me out and calling me evil. I told them all it was for charity. Not 1 response. So, here I am, I sent an invoice for $475 (cut out the shipping charges "for the holidays") and awaiting a paypal payment. Oh...here I notice that the person left me feedback...negative feedback...my first... I knew it wouldnt work...
Looking for an Addition
Posted 12/20/2005 1:56:56 PM ...to my storage I really need an IDE hdd, 200-300 gigs. Ive used about 70 gigs of my internal and my old external is full (it's 80 too) so, if anyone has an old one or one they're not using (or saw a good deal online) we can talk about price etc
Today Is a Good Day to Die! (i mean blog, heh)
Posted 12/20/2005 12:33:04 PM SO, woke up in a good mood. And just now I decided to post a few things, including what goes on in a typical 8th grade christmas break. Woke up at 9, rolled over and slept til 10 :), then decided to go check if I had gotten my upload/download ratio high enough at torrentleech to not be shot, find out it should be done within 2 hours...which goes right with my calculation (yeah, I'm that good :) ) go to check my phone, my mom called, I call her back snd she tells me she got my SSAT score back. 99% percentile with tested at time in facility, 94% country; a little below what I expected, but good enough for my future hopes. Im pretty happy. Go back to my room for some fun with the book (powerbook) and decide to watch transporter 2, turns out to be a good movie, I get up and heat up some of the pizza we had last night. I remember something I had read about putting linux on an ipod, google it, look at a few wikis, and decide to do it. I successfully install, then decide it's only good for games (luckily you can boot to normal ipod OS too) put together a mix of music in itunes and reload my ipod (i really need that ipod video, choosing between 30 gigs of songs to put on a 4gig mini is tough) then make a mix and start playing that in itunes and here I am...I did some other things, but they weren't notable
Stick it to the Man
Posted 12/17/2005 9:31:28 PM http://www.eff.org/share/petition/ Petition to stop the RIAA, stop those suing b**t*rds (can I say that?) from suing children like the 12 year old girl sued for 3 grand. And yes, I download...But I only download for bands which I've bought at least 1 cd for torrentleech.org=the l337...280 kb/s right now!
Computer Games
Posted 12/15/2005 4:29:56 PM wow, I've finally discovered the world of computer games I grabbed doom 1, 2, and all other versions except 3, 3 different versions of quake 1, and im currently in the middle of downloading doom 3 and quake 2 how did i live without computer games? they're amazing! playing an fps on a keyboard is sooo much better than on an xbox (in most aspects...I still miss having an actual joystick) sooo...what games do you guys suggest...im running 512 mb ram, 1.67 ghz, and a 128 mb card, which I guess is average for most games now (may upgrade ram soon) and, number 3 on my christmas list is world of warcraft, so I'm getting ready for an addiction
Soapbox
Posted 12/9/2005 6:25:45 PM Yeah, this is a little rant on the RIAA, and most a lot of other evil companies. Why do I hate em? Downloading. people have been sued for tens of thousands of dollars for a few gigs of downloading, and from what I've read, some of these people didn't even do anything illegal! they were just getting back-ups of stuff they'd already bought. these companies really need to relax. it's not like a few people good enough with computers to figure out torrenting (not that it's hard) will drop their sales figures. some people say "i buy music to support my favorite band!" but you're really not. the bands usually only get about

My hilarious day
Posted 12/2/2005 4:17:49 PM today i saw one of the funnies things ive seen in school for a while, you may not get it, but i'll tell it again. yeah, my friend starts pretending to choke on a potato, so someone else fakes the heimlech, and he spits the potato out over everyone, and everyone moves away from him cracking up. that's not it, that happens a lot with one girl, so it's lost its funniness. later at lunch, my other friend gets a whole potato, and tells the first guy that spat the potato to go long, so he goes across the cafeteria, and throws the potato, and he just stands there, not catching it on purpose, and it splats onto the ground and slides like 5 feet, hitting the janitors shoe. his name is hunter, and he threw it. he is legally an idiot, and cannot think. at all. nothing any time. ever. yeah, so it was pretty funny app ill give you guys an unpacking ceremony tuesday. my dad doesn't know yet, so i may be dead (my dad gets jealous, and angry when i get something better than his...he doesn't know because my parents are divorced) >edit: track my powerbook! http://www.fedex.com/Tracking?cnt
Powerbook ordered...uh-oh...
Posted 11/28/2005 4:29:42 PM well, i ordered a 15 inch 1.67 ghz powerbook saturday. my grandpa's paid for it, so im the luckiest kid ever. now i read this yeah, that may be a problem some of the newer ones from actually the past week dont have this problem apparently, but this still may be a bad thing. well, if it has this problem i guess i could just order some pre-oct 2005 revsion book, but it won't be as special updates when it arrives...turns out it hasnt been shipped :( edit: be ready for a big unpacking post, but i swear to god if i see those lines ill scream (luckily my eyesight isn't perfect, and eagle-eyes are the ones that see them. i'm just afraid i'll try too hard, see them, and i'll see them forever after this.
powerbook
Posted 11/26/2005 12:12:01 AM getting a powerbook, but have some questions that i can't find definite answers for will a component a/v cable work with it? are there s-video to component adapters? my vga moniter will plug in without adapters for dual monitor pwnage, right? im not sure there's a vga port... thanks revise: powerbook comes with most of these adapters, so good :)
