Finally Posted 1/10/2009 10:20:52 AM Finally, Brooke's headache's are starting to go away. I am so happy. Her test came up to below average, which is a lot better then before but her headaches were getting worse. The doctor was going in the direction of giving her medication to control the pain. So I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started to massage her upper back and and neck, also her left side of the neck I massaged and instantly her headache started to go away. So now every morning and every evening we do massage therapy. Now in the 3 days that I have been doing this with Brooke she has started to come back to her happy normal kid fun loving self. So how is your year so far? Posted 1/4/2009 10:53:22 PM Well, it was New Year's Eve and I was getting ready to go out to dinner and to a couple of parties then head out to listen to a band. I took a shower and as I got out of the shower I started to get this pain in my side. It got worse, so bad that I fell to the floor and couldn't straighten up. I crawled to my bedroom and made it into my bed. I laid there screaming in pain for several hours. Scared to death because I had no idea what was happening to me, every time I would move the pain would get worse. Just as I was getting ready to call for an ambulance the pain started to go away. So to end my wonderful 2008 I passed a kidney stone. OUCH!!!!!!!! They say it is as painful as giving birth, I am here to tell you it's worse. I have given birth 3 times and on the third time I decided to pop out 2 babies and passing a kidney stone was worse. So 2009 has been a breeze so far (knock on wood), lets hope it stays that way at least for a while. (2) Comments

Happy New Year to all Posted 12/31/2008 2:54:07 PM Now that Christmas is over with and I am on the tail end of the flu it is New Year's Eve. Brooke had her Dr. appt. yesterday and the results of her test where better this time around, which we are glad to hear. She is doing better but she is not out of the woods yet, she still needs to not be active physically. She got a digital camera for Christmas and we plan to go everywhere and take pictures. This was one hell of a year for me, closed my art gallery/coffee shop, my father almost died and we packed up and moved in with him, Brooke hurt her head badly, my camera broke (I never go anywhere without my camera), the karate school has moved (actually in process of building and painting and cleaning everything now). And now it is the last day of the year. This is one of my most favorite days of the year, because tomorrow starts a whole new. I don't mind change I just prefer the large ones come gradually not full force. Well, you all have a Happy New Year and I plan on partying tonight, all be safe and God Bless. (2) Comments

I can breath now Posted 12/25/2008 10:46:58 PM It's over, yes Christmas is over. I am happy yet sad. Happy because I don't have to hide things around the house, nI dont have to run around like a loon to try and get everything done. My kids are happy and fed and now I get to sit back and breath, look through the computer and actually put my feet up. Now of course I got the flu so I'm sad. Another Doctor visit Posted 12/5/2008 10:48:53 AM Yesterday we went to a specialist for Brooke and her head. She ended up taking a test on a computer for concussions. (her Dr. said it is the same test that the Steelers and penguins players take when they get a concussion). The Doctor said that she has to take it easy for a while and the test showed her concussion is when you shake your head to hard and the chemicals in your brain gets all mixed up. And until the chemicals in her brain go back to normal she cannot do physical activity. If she hits her head again during this time she could have brain damage. She did good on her test just slow reaction time. Next appt. and test is Dec. 30 we are hoping for better results. Now just keeping her from doing physical activity, that's the hard part. Anyone that knows Brooke can tell you she is very active. Thank you everyone for your prayers and love. (2) Comments

What a week Posted 11/26/2008 10:44:36 AM Life has been rough lately. One of my twin daughters had a freak accident. My older daughters boyfriend and Brooke were playing around and he was giving her a piggy back ride. He slipped and fell backwards, when they both fell she landed first and he landed on top of her. When he fell on top of her the back of his head hit the front of her head. She has a concussion and has had a headache for almost 2 weeks now. She hasn't been to school, no sports (that killing her), no running, no reading, video games, and the list goes on. Since her headache hasn't gone away they said this could be a preexisted condition when the hit on the head has progressed it. We had a CT scan done and it was normal. We are headed to a specialist after Thanksgiving if things don't get better. This morning she had some blurred vision with words, I'm starting to get really scared. (4) Comments

She went to school wearing the McCain shirt and was told by fellow students and teachers that she was stupid. She should be shot for wearing such a dumb shirt. And many slander remarks. The next day she wore the Obama shirt and was told that she finally got a brain, got pat's on the back for being smart. Everyone thought she was great, fellow students and teachers. Back to Normal whatever that is Posted 10/24/2008 1:56:20 PM I think I finally slept enough, lol My life is back to normal, if my life was ever normal. It's pretty amazing how some of the people at work have been treating me. A few of the fathers have been kind of flirting with me, and a few have been really afraid of me. lol I have had several mothers walk up to me and tell me that I am their hero. It feels really nice to hear that. One mother that is around my age said she was so happy for me and that she was so proud that I made it through the test. I really didn't think it would bring so much attention. I am very proud of myself, I worked very hard to get this far. For any woman out there no matter what your age go for it. It's over Posted 10/18/2008 1:56:31 PM I'm home and the test is over. Just ate my double cheeseburger and fries and know I am going to crash. Everyone said I did great. My spirit was loud and strong all the way through the test. I made and I didn't throw up or fall down. I'm very sore and very tired so I am going to just lie down and go to sleep. 14 hours to go Posted 10/17/2008 7:28:30 PM 14 hours to go and all I did today was nothing, lol No I scrubed the kitchen floor an did laundry. Went shopping trying to keep my mind off of tomorrow so I don't freak myself out. I tried not doing any karate today and I think that was the hardest part of the day. Now it is evening and it is getting harder for me to just lie around. I'm trying to watch tv and my thoughts just keep wondering and wondering. Am I going to last the 3 hours, am I going to be able to fight 3 black belts and not fall, am I going to be able to remember my Korean, will I be able to answer the questions that are asked of me in Korean, will I break my boards, will I, will I, will I? Hopefully I will have enough energy to let you all know tomorrow. (0) Comments

3 days Posted 10/15/2008 2:14:58 PM I know I'm just freaking out, I feel alot better today. 3 days is testing day. I recently found how to fix a few problems I have been having with my knee's and hips. I feel 10 times better and I am hoping if I keep working on the problem then when Sat. gets here I will be able to jump higher and feel stronger I couldn't put a comment in my last post so here it is. Thanks everyone for being so kind, I just need to get through it and I will be fine. 4 days Posted 10/14/2008 10:04:31 AM 4 days till test and I am getting very nervous. I am trying not to think about it, but that is impossible. So I figure if I write here maybe my nerves will settle down. I have been working out everyday, now I am studying my Korean so I can figure the commands out during the test. Oh did I tell you the test is in Korean. My sparring is lacking right now, I just can't seem to get my foot that is on the floor when I kick to pivot correctly. Also all of a sudden I am having problems with my balance. I could stand on 1 foot for 10 minutes if I had to now it seems like I can hardly walk straight. This is why I get nervous when stupid things like this happens. Then I picture myself falling and not be able to get back up. I know I'm just worrying, but honestly I should be better this time around and I don't feel it. I seem to be having a hard time concentrating, getting focused. I hope it all just falls into place when I walk on that floor and bow in. I am going for a walk now to clear my head and to walk up the nice big hill I travel everyday to up my endurance. 4 days until the test. Ok then, Thanks for letting me vent. It helps alot. 2 weeks Posted 10/3/2008 11:26:54 PM 2 weeks till my 3rd degree karate test. I think I'm ready. I know my stuff I just hope I can last 3 hours on the floor, plus get beat up at the end. I will have to fight 3 black belts at the same time. I'm more nervous about my endurance. I am getting better, I have been walking the hills and working out constantly. I also started to drink organic soy milk and it is actually helping my knee's (I have bad knee's). I am also losing weight, which is a good thing when you have to jump in the air and kick. I'm focused and ready to go out on that floor and give my all. (5) Comments

Going crazy Posted 9/28/2008 10:24:16 PM Why is it when you get older you get cold all the time. It is in the 70's during the day and gets cool at night. My father has to turn the heat up to 78 degree's during the day. I have windows open and there are times I am turning the air conditioner on upstairs. I feel like I am going to combust, my kids are whining that they are hot all the time. Talking to him does nothing I actually think he turns the heat up more when I say something. (0) Comments

Sunday was a great day Posted 9/14/2008 9:40:24 PM Sunday has been a great! Went shopping and had fun with my twin girls, then we went to Rita's for some italian ice (I love Rita's). We decided to go ride go carts, mind you I am 5'8" "and these legs do not fit well in a damn go cart. My knees were almost touching my nose, lol. Riding around on that track was a blast. Lauren went first, me, then Brooke. Brooke decided she was going to pass us all and the little witch did. She came up beside me knocked me into the wall and laughed as she flew by me. After a few more times around the track she decided to pass Lauren, and she did as she blew past her with that shit eating grin on her face. But the day was great and we had a blast, I love spending time with my kids. Last week I went to a golf outing with my work and at work this last week my boss came up to me and asked if I had a good time and I said yes, (I really did). He said he could hear me laughing all over the golf course, then he told me his girlfriend said man imagine what it would be like to be one of Bunny's kids. I think that was the best compliment I ever had in my entire life. Sunday was just great! (0) Comments
