After a couple of hours at the gym and before retiring the day .. I normally slip in to the hot tub. Outside under the stars... relaxing.. at midnight. Last night I only opened half of it since the wind moving the clouds in covering the stars still at bay. Once settled in for my 15 minutes of total relaxation I closed my eyes to relax.. About that time.. a wind gust came around the end of the house .. catching the Hot tub cover and flipping it closed on my head. Jumping from the tub... and gasping from the water up my nose..I heard laughter.. there stood my husband peering and laughing from the slider.. He didnt think i could move that fast..

I twisted so fast trying to get out .. that i hurt my back.. lol. i guess will try for 30 minutes tonight.

Ive read some post and see some of you garden.. my talents lack major in this department so i am open for suggestions. I have a 6' x 9' flower box in my front yard that the neighbors would love to see something other than weeds growing in. I dont know one flower for another. but i would welcome some suggestions. I need something that is fairly low maintenance since i am not home much.

Have you ever been Snipe hunting? Spring is upon us and we love to go camping and fishing. I love those nights by the fire and all the stories that are told. When i was a young girl i had a major crush on one of my parents boys.. He was 4 years older and having a party...(supervised) lol.. like that make a difference. He said i could come if i would go snipe hunting... Gosh I so ... remember that night.

Flapper is right about the 1 sq. ft. garden. It is getting popular. I also grow strawberries for ground cover!Lettuce looks great with flowers. Ribs are better but I can do absolutely nothing! Swept the kitchen floor and was hueting good this AM!

No, I was serious about the lettuce. A square foot or so is all you need. Hide it behind some flowers if you don't like the way it looks--but the mesclun mix variety is kind of attractive, foliage-wise.
