You may have already seen it, but when I saw it I thought of you. I've thought a lot about your personal story you shared and I appreciate that you did. I hope one day I can sit down and write out mine. And Bluefemme, I admire the courage you have and the responsibilities you chose to take on to help others. Thank you both.

A Dream Within A Dream Take this kiss upon the brow! And, in parting from you now, Thus much let me avow You are not wrong, who deem That my days have been a dream; Yet if hope has flown away In a night, or in a day, In a vision, or in none, Is it therefore the less gone? All that we see or seem Is but a dream within a dream. I stand amid the roar Of a surf-tormented shore, And I hold within my hand Grains of the golden sand How few! yet how they creep Through my fingers to the deep, While I weep - while I weep! O God! can I not grasp Them with a tighter clasp? O God! can I not save One from the pitiless wave? Is all that we see or seem But a dream within a dream? ~ Poe |

Edited because I hate reading it lol Heart, we will forget him Heart, we will forget him, You and I, tonight! You must forget the warmth he gave, I will forget the light. When you have done pray tell me, Then I, my thoughts, will dim. Haste! ‘lest while you’re lagging I may remember him! Emily Dickenson |

| Forgotten |
Let It Be Forgotten by Sarah Teasdale. Let it be forgotten, as a flower is forgotten, Forgotten as a fire that once was singing gold. Let it be forgotten forever and ever, Time is a kind friend, he will make us old. If anyone asks, say it was forgotten Long and long ago, As a flower, as a fire, as a hushed footfall In a long-forgotten snow.

| One of my favorites |
DOVER BEACH (By Matthew Arnold) The sea is calm tonight. The tide is full, the moon lies fair Upon the Straits; - on the French coast, the light Gleams, and is gone; the cliffs of England stand, Glimmering and vast, out in the tranquil bay. Come to the window, sweet is the night air! Only, from the long line of spray Where the ebb meets the moon-blanch'd sand, Listen! You hear the grating roar Of pebbles which the waves suck back, and fling, At their return, up the high strand, Begin, and cease and then again begin, With tremulous cadence slow, and bring The eternal note of sadness in. The sea of faith Was once, too, at the full, and round earth's shore Lay like the folds of a bright girdle furl'd; But now I only hear Its melancholy, long, withdrawing roar, Retrating to the breath Of the night-wind down the vast edges drear And naked shingles of the world. Ah love, let us be true To one another! For the world, which seems To lie before us like a land of dreams, So various, so beautiful, so new, Hath really neither joy, nor love, nor light, Nor certitude, nor peace, nor help for pain; And we are here as on a darkling plain Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight, Where ignorant armies clash by night.

Lightning exits woman's bottom October 09, 2006 12:00am http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599...-13762,00.html A WOMAN has suffered severe burning to her anus after being struck by lightning which hit her in the mouth and passed right through her body. Natasha Timarovic, 27, was cleaning her teeth at home when lightning struck the building. She said: "I had just put my mouth under the tap to rinse away the toothpaste when the lightning must have struck the building. I don't remember much after that, but I was later told that the lightning had travelled down the water pipe and struck me on the mouth, passing through my body. It was incredibly painful, I felt it pass through my torso and then I don't remember much at all." Doctors at the city hospital where she was treated for burns to the mouth and rear said: "The accident is bizarre but not impossible. She was wearing rubber bathroom shoes at the time and so instead of earthing through her feet it appears the electricity shot out of her backside," a medic told local television news channel, 24 Sata. "It appears to have earthed through the damp shower curtain that she was touching as she bent over to put her mouth under the tap. If she had not been wearing the shoes she would probably have been killed by the blast." |

| I am not yours |
I Am Not Yours by Sarah Teasdale. I am not yours, not lost in you, Not lost, although I long to be Lost as a candle lit at noon, Lost as a snowflake in the sea. You love me, and I find you still A spirit beautiful and bright, Yet I am I, who long to be Lost as a light is lost in light. Oh plunge me deep in love - put out My senses, leave me deaf and blind, Swept by the tempest of your love, A taper in a rushing wind. |

| How do I title this? |
My friend wrote this and it's one of my favorites. He never thinks they're any good and usually throws them away. It's about life's troubles and how we learn and grow from them. I buried my heart in Eden, Under the harrowing of the plow. In soil I had been leveled, One with broken ground. Then scattered over the surface, Were my tears like caraway. In a mound I was suited, And settled under rain. Beneath the heavy rod, Threshed as summer grain, Reaping now this harvest Of wisdom born of pain. |

| Poe |
Alone by Edgar Allan Poe From childhood's hour I have not been As others were; I have not seen As others saw; I could not bring My passions from a common spring. From the same source I have not taken My sorrow; I could not awaken My heart to joy at the same tone; And all I loved, I loved alone. Then - in my childhood, in the dawn Of a most stormy life - was drawn From every depth of good and ill The mystery which binds me still: From the torrent, or the fountain, From the red cliff of the mountain, From the sun that round me rolled In its autumn tint of gold, From the lightning in the sky As it passed me flying by, From the thunder and the storm, And the cloud that took the form (When the rest of Heaven was blue) Of a demon in my view. |
