So I'm stressed...
I'm getting divorced on the 22nd... yay! but still a lot of work.
My grandpa has a 68% chance of having prostate cancer.
And then I apparently piss my bf off because I 'get mad about the little things'
Maybe it's just me but if I specifically ask you not to ask my sister a question (if her roommates had a website because how else can they afford their apartment) then don't ask... and when he did anyway I of course got mad.
Then he got mad because it was a stupid little thing and I should stop censoring him.... I'm sorry but until you know my family/friends then don't say stuff like that to them out of the blue because they might take it offensively.
I also asked him not to bring something up in front of my friends and he kept trying to ... so of course I got upset then too.
I don't think it's a small thing to get mad about... I'm just asking that you don't say one stupid comment to my sister... it's not a lot to ask, I don't think.
But yeah... apparently I can't be stressed and edgy right now... I caused the fight he said. Now he's mad at me and it takes him a long time to get un-mad... I hate having people be mad at me so now I feel guilty. I told him to call me when he was done being mad so I'm worried he won't call me tomorrow and I hate it.
(He's in the navy so he's in MS and I'm in NY so him calling every night when he gets out is basically our whole relationship....)

I paid off my furniture today! I'm excited... now I only have $230 on my Best Buy card from my grandma's xmas present (laptop), a $525 (eek) plane ticket to MS in March, and $200 on a credit card. I'll be debit free by the end of the month! It's such a great feeling! :-D

I haven't posted since I decided to leave my husband. Things are going very well. I'm living with my grandparents again but I've got the whole upstairs to myself and they don't really bother me. I've been blessed with 5 cats that don't go down there and get into their things. They don't even go downstairs unless I'm home, in which case they follow me from room to room meowing.
I'm dating a new guy that I used to work with at Eckerds when I was 16. We used to hang out but I had a boyfriend and all that... so I've kinda always had a little thing for him but I guess I never wanted to let myself have one so I never gave him a shot. He's in the Navy (but never goes on a ship) now and is down south so we're forced to take things slow, which is good.
Hope everyone is having a happy holiday season so far!!

its a little chilly here but all in all a very nice autumn day. ive finished moving today and have about half of the boxes left to unpack. so its been very productive. that cats are adjusting very well and its good to be home (at least it will be until i start going nuts). If it was about 5 degrees warmer I think I would want to go to the Adirondaks for a lil hike. It's very pretty up there.

I'm moving back in with my grandparents (the ones that raised me) ... crap-iddy-do-da.
There's nothing like living on your own for 3 years and then getting married and living with them for a year ... then moving back in with the grandparents. GAH!
Their house is big but 3 people, a little dog and 5 cats? Holy crow. But I'm going to save up so I can put a bigger down payment on a house in a year or so.
But still ... ick.

Well, things are just super fun around here.
Steve came upstairs and spent 2 hours with me. We watched a little tv and played WII. Then he asked if it was okay if he went in the basement for a little while. I was like "why are you asking?" and he shrugged and went downstairs.
Then I suggested that we have a movie night where we watch a movie together every Sunday. He didn't seem to thrilled so I asked if he didn't want to. He said "Sunday is football." So I suggested Saturday, and he was basically like "eh, fine."
I'm trying and he's giving me nothing in return. He said that he spend a long time with me earlier today playing the WII... oh yea... so long.
Then I asked if he was going to come give me g'night kisses before he went to bed and he said maybe. He didn't - and when I asked him why he said I could have gone in there and done it.
OK- he's the one going to bed and I'm already putting forth an effort. He's got to meet me halfway. He won't even say love you unless I say it because 'he always had to say it first before' ... which isn't true. He'd say it first more often but not because he HAD to, but he just did before I could.
So basically I'm at my wits end. It's not fair for me to go put all my effort into making things better if he's not going to do anything at all.
Even his attitude is weird. I don't want to sleep in bed next to him because he's been acting so weird, but if I sleep on the couch he'll say I'm not trying. Damned if I do - damned if I don't.

the worst kind of tired is being mentally tired. it's not like i need a nap ... it's like i just need to go to sleep and not wake up until everything is over with.
i've decided that i'm almost certainly going to leave my husband. we never see each other and are both too stubborn to change ... oh, it would be fine for a couple months if we tried, but then it would go right back ...
it started when he got his xbox360. i didnt see him for months because he was stuck in front of the tv with it, and then when he started to get sick of it he wanted to come interupt the habits i had grown accustomed to while he was playing his life away. i would come home from work, get food, and watch my half hour show i taped from the night before. then id read or go online or some such thing...
but now he's saying i dont try and that he's not happy (me either) because i never want to spend time with him anymore.
interesting seeing as how earlier yesterday I was reading the living room and he wanted to watch the game. i told him to turn it on and watch it and he said he was going to go watch it in the basement... ok yea - that's def. all him. then i tried talking to him about work sunday and it was like talking to a wall... that'd be on him too. oh, and theres the fact that i try to get him involved with the things i like and he doesn't give it a shot... he never invites me to do the things he likes.
so yeah - it's all my fault i go out with my friends all the time cuz sitting home (alone) on my bottom is SOOOO fun.
oh, and when i said i was leaving we decided to 'try' things (but i'm seriously rethinking that due to this next bit:) and he said it MIGHT be a waste of time cuz things will prolly go back to the way they are now, and then he said we'd try but (and i quote) 'don't waste my time'
my jaw hit the floor on that one. i was like 'yeah dont waste mine either' sooo i'm young and i'm not going to be stuck unhappy during my golden years. i can find someone who will make me happy ... hmm
the problem is when i think about it i get so mentally drained i want to sleep forever. i'm not sure if its because of all the work getting a divorce will be (even though he said I could have whatever i won't take anything that's not mine, and i dont want half the house), and finding a place to live, packing, moving, unpacking, being alone would be a new thing to me also.
i'm getting so drained. i barely have the energy to vent in this blog, let alone think about all of this stuff.

I've come up with this new way to keep myself motivated to actually FINISH a novel I start. Every 5,000 words I get a prize - it can be anything I want.
The more I want it the more I want to write. I've gotten 3 prizes so far (which I'm making my gramma hold hostage so I don't cheat hehe). I got a CD and then I bought 4 seasons of Naruto. I just got my EBay purchase in the mail today (the Fruits Basket series) and now I neeeeeeeeeeed it. Which means - I have 2 Naruto seasons to win before I get it... meaning 15,000 words. AH!
My plan is 1,000 words a night! I doubt it will happen ... but I'm sure going to try like hell!!!

I miss Luna. It's been over 2 years but thinking of him makes for a heavy heart. I was laying on the couch and lifted the blankets for Mushu to climb under (she likes to sleep on my chest under the covers) and she crawled behind the curve of my knee... Luna would paw at the blankets until I lifted it and bent my knees so he could sleep there. It brought back so many emotions... none of my current cats do that. That was earlier this morning. I went upstairs to go to bed and I found I couldn't help crying ... so now I'm back downstairs typing this.
I guess I still haven't told the story about Luna yet so I will now.
My gramma took me to the humane society when I was 9 and I picked him out. He was a seal point siamese. He was my best friend for 10 years. On April 9, 2005 I had to put him down because of his cancer. It was the hardest thing I ever had to do. He was always at my side. He greeted me at the door whenever I got home. I took him to a science fair (I had 'invented' this pet brush) at my school and he sat on the table the whole time letting everyone pet him. He didn't even try to move. My fondest memory of him was when he was sick of being behind my knees he would crawl up so his head was sticking out from the blankets - he'd rest his head in the crook of my arm and put his paw on my chest.
It was a Friday I had to put him down. The weekend was awful. The entire apartment felt empty. I didn't want to get another cat - it would be too much like replacing him. So I went to the H.S. to find a small dog.
I passed by the cats and one pawed at me. Just one. I kept going to the dogs. I saw one that was alright... so I went to pick up my gramma to come see it. I told her about the cat, but we went to see the dog.
We walked past the cat again and she reached out to paw at us and started to meow. We stopped to look at her and saw her name card. It said 'Luna'. I remember grabbing my gramma's arm and just gaping at it.
Needless to say I had to take her home with me. It was just too weird that the only cat that paid me any attention had the same name.. and not a common name at that. I renamed her Mushu.
Yes- Mushu that happens to sleep on my chest under the blankets and triggered all this emotional crap.
It might seem stupid to miss a cat this much - but I don't think it'll even stop hurting. He got me through everything.
I'm going to try to go to sleep again. ~night

I would highly recommend the Anita Blake series by Laurell K Hamilton (and don't judge them by their covers - they're not romance... she's a vampire hunter) I've been hooked for the last couple of weeks and can't force myself to do anything but read them!

the phone rang ... i answered it ... some guy with a middle eastern accent starts talking to me about some credit line... um what? then he says it for new york sash (where i got my new bathroom stuff from) oook gotcha.
he says that i have missed a payment and there is a late fee of $35. haha - NO. i told him i havent gotten a bill yet. so he goes and checks. he says the statement was returned to them and wanted to verify my address.
it was wrong, so he changed it. he said the late fee would be waved because it was their fault (bet you bottom it will be!) and he could take the payment over the phone if i wanted to give him the info.
i figured eh - alright, hes already on the phone and ill just get it over with. so blah blah i give him the information and he says its $218 for two months. he must be insane. i'm "late" one month and i have to pay for both of them at once? that hardly seems fair to me... not that i dont have the money but its the idea of it. what if i lived paycheck to paycheck? whatever - i said fine $218 then just let me get back to my nap.
i hang up and i start thinking to myself ... it's sunday. is that weird? banks and other places are closed on sundays but this place isnt? i called around to some people i know and i guess they are open on sundays and its not weird for them to call because they want their money.
never the less - now i'm really nervous and will be checking my bank statement everyday. anything suspicous and im calling the ach fraud dept.
ah - the things you learn working in the ACH deptartment ... now i know what to do and how things work. there is a 5 day period to recall any unauthorized debits so ill be getting that money right back. dont try screwing me over stupid people - i know the rules banks need to follow.

i like cable .. but ive been having so many problems lately im going to freak out. steve got the HD box for my new tv and since then i havent been able to get any ondemand channels and some of the channels i should get with regular basic cable. i mean really now ... wth. im asking for a credit to my account. i'm not paying that kind of money to not be able to what what i want. :::shakes head:::

well - my aunt has been going for tests over the last couple of weeks... they think shes either got cancer or sarcoidoisis (sp??) but are leaning towards the latter. it's nerve wracking.
my mother (sister to my aunt) has NEVER asked how she was doing, not even me or my gramma. then on dads day she told my aunt (only my aunt, uncle, and i heard it) "well if you die first i'll get everthing" ... my mouth dropped to the floor. WHO SAYS THAT!?!?!?!?! what kind of self centered arse hole would say that? my mother thats who. god knows that i dont agree with things my mother does (99.9% of it) but thats just - wrong.
my grandma (i told her bout it after) was like 'shes getting hers now the way shes borrowing money' ... by borrowing i mean taking.
i had to laugh when i picked something up from the store for my gramma on the way there (cost like $4) and she tried giving me a 20. i said no that id only take a 5. she gave it to me and said 'you couldve made 15 bucks' and steve said "shes not like the rest of the offspring" lol .. but really... i dont know why my mother is like that ... greedy ... and my sister is following in her footsteps... i cant stand it.

i had to laugh when i picked something up from the store for my gramma on the way there (cost like $4) and she tried giving me a 20. i said no that id only take a 5. she gave it to me and said 'you couldve made 15 bucks' and steve said "shes not like the rest of the offspring" lol .. but really... i dont know why my mother is like that ... greedy ... and my sister is following in her footsteps... i cant stand it.

Very good movie. Long (3 hours) but very good. And stay after the credits for the clip. The ending isn't as good if you don't.. sort of disappointing. So make sure to wait :)

my sister got her first apt. this month out where her college is. her 2 room mates dont move in until august so shes got to come up with all the money on her own. her rent is 820 (more than my mortgage by the way), her cable/internet is 30, and then shes got electricity (which can be what? 100 tops?)so ... her total for bills is 950/month. she works to jobs (total of approx. 45 hrs/week at $7/hour) ... so before taxes thats 1,260... after taxes probably about 950-1000. her father is giving her $200 a month until her room mates get there, so roughly $1,150 - lets say.
she went to take out a $3000 loan so she could know she had the money in case anything happened and then just pay the loan off. (the whole one bills is better than a bunch and she doesnt want to end up like our mom with bad credit)
she got denied because she HAS NO credit... she couldnt even get it with a co-signer. so her and my mom asked me to get it for them and they could pay me for it.
first of all - i HAAAAAAATE being in debt. i can't stand it. i just paid off my best buy card this month, my visa will be paid off next month, so ill just have the circuit city and bathroom left to pay off. (circuit city will be paid off in october, the bathroom - not for a year :-/)
second - both my mother and my sister are horrid with money. so i said i would take out $2,000 (although now im thinking $1,500 would be plenty) but i would completely control the purse strings.

i have no idea what to do ... a cat (i have an idea which one) has taken to pooing on the basement carpet. this carpet is brand new (approx three days) and steve hasnt finishing putting it down or anything ... its sort of divided into 2 parts, and one side is done, the other hes doing today. 3 times this has happened .. and i know that have to like ... mark stuff as theirs or whatever, but she isnt peeing on it ... so i dont know what to do. maybe once he gets all of his stuff down there shell realize its not ok. the litter boxes are down there and its been their playground since we moved in .. so i dont know ... maybe she thinks its still her own area or something. i know its said cats dont like change and all that. but then today (as embarrassing as this is, ill tell you in hope someone will have an idea what to do) i woke up and she has gone %1 in the center of my living room... now this NEVER happens. ive have them all for over a year, and this one in particular over 2 years. last night we ditched the old 52 inch tv (the kind that actually looks like a peice of furniture :::sigh:::) and got a new tv (the stupid kind that looks like a box - but its nice) and a new stand and all that. im thinking shes just pissed off about all the stuff we are doing around the house - but how do i make it stop?!
im begging for help because this really grosses me out (and now i have to go hide from embarrassment) and i need her to stop before i kill her.

Steve went out and bought a $1,350 TV, before taxes.... so roughly a $1,500 television. It's very nice - 50" plasma. ... ... for the basement ... ... to play his games on ... it wouldnt be so bad if it were for the living room for everyone to enjoy ... but his 'gaming' tv is better than our regular one. not so very happy

i told him (i made sure to do it at the grocery store so he couldnt get tooooo mad hahaha) but he didn't get mad at all... just asked why i got my madien name instead of his - but people who get other peoples names tattooed on are dumb. its forever - and ill be a riley forever and a kennedy is his name not mine.
i asked how long it would have taken him to notice - he said at least a month ... how sad is that that we've been married for less than a year and he doesnt see me with the right amount of clothes to see that ... i mean ... you can see it over my pants when im sitting down ... i feel so loved lol

i had a lil teeny id crisis the other day ... i felt more like steve's wife than amber. im also deeply regreting changing my last name... i loved my last name and i was proud of it ... and i dont like haveing a new one. so under the tatoo i got on my 18th bday (celtic shamrock on my lower back) i put Riley in green and had them make the y long and go under the rest of the word and i had him put bleeding hearts (the flower) on it so its sort of like a stem... its rather nifty if i say so myself. my mom went with me and really liked it. but steve doesnt know about it and itll prolly take a rly long time for him to see is since we never see each other and have 'martial relations' even less. haha. i just dont wanna hear it from him but idk .. it makes me feel better :::shrug:::
